"I bought this for my son, and it's been fielded (and dropped) once.
Let me start off by saying that it's much better than I expected. I've compared the externals to my LCT, and they're nearly identical in appearance.
Unfortunately, as noted elsewhere some of the parts are pot metal, rather than steel. Again-for a $179 gun (bought on sale here), I don't expect the same amount of steel in my $300+ gun. But, my son dropped it once and broke the plastic flash hider (expected) but also the front sight post, which I found surprising. However, my son wants a scope, so it may be a moot point (see below). And given that it shoots on average about 415 FPS, it qualifies as a DMR on our local field.
Which is all the more disappointing given that the folding stock is, there's no other way to put it, flimsy. Once locked in the open position, it still travels over an inch; and I see no way to easily correct this. Having handled Russian AKs in the Army, I can tell you that the real ones are solid as a rock. If he were able to use it in a CQB situation, it would be easy enough to just fold the stock away and forget it; but it shoots too hot to do that.
The iron sights are OK, but the original design puts the rear sight forward of the dust cover, and in this respect it matches the original. However, my son wants to put a scope on it, and there is no rail. I originally bought a rail that replaces the rear sight, but it turns out it is useless for a scope, because of the eye relief. I have put the rear sight rail on my other AK and it holds a reflex sight just fine, albeit is a little high.
But, my son still wants a scope. The original AKs have a side rail, but the folding stock will not allow this to be added. I have purchased a dust cover with a rail which attaches to the rear sight receiver and the retaining button as a solution, but it remains to be seen if it is stable enough to hold zero. IT also remains to be seen if I can fit the battery under the new dust cover, as the recommended battery barely fits as it is.
Overall, I'm pleased with what you get for the money. CYMA AKs have a great reputation for durability, so I'm looking forward to see if that is true. My son loves the folding stock, but if I were to purchase another CYMA AK in the future, I'd go with either a fixed stock, or a side-folding stock.

"I got this gun about 2 weeks ago and it shoots great the sight was dead on and if you adjust the hop up right you can hit targets up to 250 feet away its a great gun and its made very well the mag it comes with isn't all that great though and it doesn't like .20g bbs recommend .25g or .30g bbs
Pros:
Durable construction
Easy to use hop up
Very accurate
High fps (about 415)
The wood furniture is pretty cool
Weight feels realistic
Can mount a rail for optics
Looks intimidating
Good range
Cons:
Little mag wobble
Does not like .20g bbs, recommend .25g bbq or higher
Mag it comes with does not feed well (but it's great with mid-caps)
That's about it

"Really nice gun and it preformed very good and I would give it 5 stars but its heaver than a real aka47and after playing for just few hours u can really feel how heavy it is.

"Ive had this gun for a few months, and boy did it perform great!, i love the feel of the metal and wood and the weight that it has, and its VERY accurate. Only reason i give 4 stars is because it has started to have feeding issues, that i think are related to the hopup not lining up perfectly with the barrel. I will go in and find out but i would deffinatly recomend this, just cant give 5 stars because of feeding issues.

"I've run this gun the last two weekends for the entire day and it's been great. Chrono at the field on .25 BBS at 320-340 fps. Shoots straight with very little misfires. Gun is a bit heavy but other then that it's a great gun for the money.

"great gun. good quality and works with near almost all ak 74-47 mods
the weight and feel and material is perfect.
been through multiple trials and tribulations drops, gun hits. miscalulated corner turns. and not once has the gun has ever let me down (after a bit of small upgradeing to the fuse box and tamiya)
pros
-the only time it will break is if you actually try to.
-decent range fps and rof striaght out of the box
- ergo and railed grips that come with is are very helpful as to having to go out to buy rails
-so far. it has worked with every upgrade i have gotten for it. from internals to externals.
cons
-unjamming rod comes out easly (recomment tape or glue it it really bothers you that much
-leaf sight is annoyingly small. iwould reccomend to just remove it and use the rails and fronts sights for and acurate and easy iron sight picture (just make sure to keep the metal peice that holds the leaf sight up. or bore the sight in a bit
overall 100% keeper

"everyhting on this gun was like a dream come true for $150. everything about this gun is a pro except the wiring, fuse, and trigger contacts. after taking the ak to its first game it started having issues with firing and when opened up the fuse snapped. the trigger contacts had wear on them and the wires would get very hot very quickly. i only used the stock 8.4v battery i got with the gun and a 7.4v lipo. maybe it was only my gun but to stop from this happening again i recommend installing a mosfet and deans connectors before getting serious with this gun. after doing that just use a 11.1v and go ham.

"I received this gun today and i'm very pleased by it. It has amazing bang for buck and from the research I've done should be very reliable for many years to come. Can't wait to use it in a scenario this weekend.
Pros:
Sturdy full metal real wood design
Front grip is surprisingly comfortable
Great accuracy
Nice ROF especially on a 9.6v
Cons:
rear sight fell off, cheap metal
stock wobble
shoots a little hot
Cons Explained:
I've yet to officially chrono this gun but it seems to be shooting over 400 fps with .20's which is a problem for where I play at. I was putting holes in soda cans from reasonably far away.
Stock wobble was expected, It's just the way the gun is designed and i'm not sure there's to much that could be done to fix it. The wobble is definitely manageable in its current state but may get worse over time.

"This is a solid rifle. The real wood grip feels great and the folding stock is convenient and easy to use. This is a powerful gun for the price as well. I clocked it going strong at 403 fps with .2 BBs. The only reason I'm giving this gun 4 stars is because the magazine that comes with it is complete turd. It's made out of cheap plastic and feels like it could break with any impact. But it's not expensive to buy a nice mag so it's no big deal.
If your on the edge of buying this gun, don't be! You will not be disappointed with this buy!!!

"Epic gun but be warned:
-Latch that holds the stock unfolded is plastic and may wear down or break
-Must be modified to fit magazines from other brands(My G&P midcaps dont work without modification) file down the mag latch or sand down magazines
-motor may come loose and must be tightened
-stock, front sight, and gasblock are all crooked (little pet peeve, of mine but can be fairly annoying)
-fitment of all the externals are not that great and some small things are plastic instead of metal. What is metal though is good quality metal.
-sharp edges, use gloves when gaming!
Pros
-9.6 volt stick battery of decent enough quality (use a smart charger not the included wall one)
-decent wood furniture(i recommend sanding off the original finish they put on it and refinishing it yourself)
-the metal bits are good quality metal
-folding stock
-battery space(stick types)
-afordable
all in all, its a good gun for the 130 bucks i got it for. i have more expensive guns but this guy kinda fills the gap as a good quality alternative to loan to friends or as a backup gun or to fit that OPFOR look. its ready to use out of the box but can use a little work to make it truly your own.

"This gun overall is a very good gun for the price. But here are Pros and Cons about this AEG.
Pros:
Very high FPS
Good ROF
Nice Weight
Good Gears and Motor
OK Battery
Cons:
Not bad but not good quality metal (one of the tangs on the front sight broke off when I bumped it against a tree)
Small butt stock (made for munchkins)
The upper receiver/dust cover falls off a lot so tape it on
Wood stain looks a little weird
The freaking Muzzle brake will not come off
The sling is junk (it hard to put on and the hook will break on it if you press it to hard)
The motor has frozen twice on me

"Great gun I love it, but there are a few problems though. She is a bit maintenance heavy so make sure you get it checked every so often and make sure you buy another battery the one that comes with isn't that great. ( it tends to fail in the cold) other wise great quality of the exterior the interior is ok but I would recommend so e internal improvements

"Friends fear this gun!
Pros:
It is accurate (and I am a stickler for accuracy)
It packs a punch.
It has a good rate of fire. aprox 14 RPS
Reliable feeding.
it looks fantastic, and doesnt wiggle. Nice solid construction.
Comes with a real AK sling, one you can trust.
Good trigger response.
Cons:
Plastic magazine which wiggles from side to side.
Wood is a laminate, that can scratch real easy.

"hey wahts the innera barrel length ?????????????????????????????
by Barry L. on 08/08/2021
"I used it for 1 short summer, let it sit for 1 year then first time picking it off the shelf and swinging open the stock, the stock release button broke and the folding stock wont lock in the open or closed position... kinda disappointed. And I can't find spare parts for it. Also the accuracy isnt the best, the BB's go about 6" to the right after about 60 ft. This is not from dropping it and bending the barrel, this was like that out of the box. Grouping is okay though. With the folding stock the gun is very front heavy which is a little wonky at times. SO FAR, its reliable and feeds fairly okay.
