"this gun is worth 85 dollars for CQB in facts id pay 150 for it i have gotten more kills with this little monster than with my CA G3SG1! mine shoots at 316fps and goes 120ft..only issue is that mags mis feed at times but this is with all MP5 high caps

"This is a very good gun for the price. Well built. It shoots as well and as accurate as my SRC XM8; which is surprising considering the short barrel. FPS is equal to my SRC XM8 as well. I did take mine under the knife after the warranty was up and modified it for a 9.6v 1400mah Intellect stick battery. This made a very noticeable improvement in its ROF and the way it sounded. The 8.4v battery that came with it made it sound sick as if it was on its last leg. I also fixed the slight bit of movement in the stock when extended. I was going to fix the creaking in the fore grip but I am going to buy a rail system for it instead and take care of any creaks then.

"I have to give this pistol a 5 because: A friend spent weeks trying to get his Marui MP5K to shoot over 330 fps. He finally gave up because the barrel is too short. Matrix have done a great job on the air seal since each gun is shooting over 330 fps with such a short barrel. Carrying two of these will give you ultimate cqb advantage. Pricing is amazing because the Marui + two hi-cap + battery + charger = $350 and this one shoots better than the Marui version.

"just about the best starter gun or secondary or cqb gun with a full size gearbox on the market today. extreme accuracy and compactness. awesome deal at 85 bucks and has 2 magazines! Alltogether awesome gun.

Very little battery space (as a result of the foldable stock, there really isn’t anywhere else that they would put the battery compartment. The A4 doesn’t have a folding stock, so the battery would go in the stock.)

"I bought this in January 2024 because it was on a lightning deal. As others have said, it's a CYMA MP5 with some extra stuff. For $180 something that's not too bad. This review is currently only about the externals of the gun as I didn't get a battery for it yet. I did this because I wanted to see the gun first to decide if I wanted to get a PEQ for battery storage.

First off, this does NOT come with a PEQ, at least mine did not. The description does say it comes one, but then the "what's in the box" doesn't mention it. Other, older reviews did mention it came with one. That's not really a negative for me because I'm sure the one it would have come with would have been garbage. What you DO get is the gun, as shown, the foregrip, a magazine that is not a hicap (the straight kind shown), a small bag of bbs that will get thrown away, and a small bag of metal parts you can either install or not. The "Swordfish" pieces on the sides of the muzzle device are not preinstalled. The rail covers shown are preinstalled. There are also no sights, as pictured. You also get an unjamming rod and a manual. The box is very nice and well padded.

My first impressions of this gun were "Wow! This is chonky!" It is a heavy gun, and I think I like that. It does feel forward heavy, again because it's got a lot of metal up front. The stock is very sturdy and folds and unfolds well. However, I don't like the length of pull and it feels like getting a good sight picture might be difficult. I'm 6 foot 1 with freakishly long arms and it still feels odd to me. Maybe with a good red dot sight it will be better.

Additionally, the selector switch feels awful. From safe to full is fine, but trying to get it in semi feels like garbage. Some research on the internet tells me this may break in, or it may just be awful. I may look into something to fix/replace it. The trigger feels a little squishy to me as well. I know this is an older gun, but my Specna M4 with flat trigger feels so much better. I will be upgrading the trigger for sure.

The charging handle feels pretty solid. I'm pretty happy with it, it does HK slap but other reviews have said it might have some weakness, so I won't be doing it often. I have read that the hop up can be problematic. I have not tested this yet.

I did purchase an additional straight magazine. Both the included and the purchased magazine feel solid, are metal, and don't seem to wobble at all. Loading a new magazine feels a little strange, almost like it isn't in all the way. Not sure if that's due to the straight magazines or not. I may eventually buy standard MP5 mags for it. The one I purchased was "CYMA 110rd Mid-Cap Magazine for Echo1 SOB & MP5 Series Airsoft AEG Rifles".

Overall, without having fired this gun yet, I'm happy enough with it. Yes, I will upgrade it a bit both internally and externally. But for less than $200 for this much metal I'm not complaining. I just wanted to give an updated and unbiased overview of the externals of this weapon as it is today, as a lot of the reviews are a bit dated.

to sum up:

PROS: Lots of metal, feels great in the hands, HK slap, looks cool; is cool; isn't just another M4, RAILZ FOR DAYZ, supposedlu LiPo ready gearbox.

CONS: I don't love the length of pull, selector switch crunchy/not really great, trigger feels squishy.

"So I’m just waiting on my batteries. But the gun looks impressive. Good weight and feel to it.. only iffy part but not sure of anyone else has notice. The selector switch from safety-single-full seems little off like it could break. Only when I try to switch it. Doesn’t seem like to switches smoothly.. only time would tell

"Close friend bought this gun. Externals are solid. Hk slap all day. One BIG warning, this thing is shooting HOT. 450 fps with .20, 430 with .28. Might just be his, but he is happy playing a DMR role. Bottom rail can break from a short fall so try not to drop it.

"Gun is great, externals are nice, the swordfish kit is incredibly easy to take off. My only problem with it was when I took to the cqb field for the first time it chronoed out at 400fps when the here on Evike its supposed to shoot way under that. Don't know what's up with that. Evike might want to look into that. Wasn't able to use it that day. Overall good gun.

"great shooting gun. only problems I had was the battery placement. you have to be sure you have the long and thin stick type 9.6v or 7.4v lipo batteries for it if you do not want to run the cheap plastic PEQ that comes with the gun.

"The hop-up is very easy to adjust and aiming is extremely easy. If you don't feel comfortable wiring your battery through the tube, you can always go with a battery box.

"This is an awesome little gun(with some work). I really like the way it strips down with body pins. I must point out like another review said this is NOT a version 3 gearbox & NOT a short type motor. This is a version 2 & long type motor. Out of the box the gun shoots pretty weak but this should already be known as it is listed at 280fps. No big deal, i upgraded lots of parts. Remember, VERSION 2. The plastic body parts are actually very strong. The biggest con about this gun is the battery issue. The wiring gets in the way of the mag catch like alot of front wired m4's, only way less room to work with. So lots of potential & a really unique & awesome looking little gun but don't expect to just open the box & have it ready to go without a bit of work. Worth it to me. I now have a 400fps PDW(after gearbox & motor upgrades) that weighs just under 3 pounds.
