It was manufactured from 1908 until just after WWII, with the last pistol being shipped in 1948. Throughout production, there were a significant number of standard production and factory embellished variations of this model. Due to its size and small caliber, there is a relatively high survival rate of Vest Pocket .25s in better than average condition.
Until World War II, the Colt 1908 Vest Pocket was Colt's fifth most popular model. It was only outperformed by the 1903 .32 ACP and Model of 1911 U.S. Army .45 ACP automatic pistols and the Official Police and Police Positive Special revolvers, four models for which there were large military contracts and police orders.

" Bought a 2-pack.
" These guns are great! I got the two gun package and It came about 4 or 5 days early. the guns are well made and you definitely get more than you pay for. I am great at over using thing and these pistols have handled It fine. this would be a great buy for a pro or a noob. The guns only shoot 50 yards so If you want more of a backyard toy that wont hurt very much this is perfect. I highly recommend this gun and especaly the 2 pack.
" These are WAAAAAAAY more fun than they have ANY right to be. Do I think I could use them in a regular game? Nope! But I do totally plan to hide them in my gear in scenario games for when I might get captured. Pulling one of these to take out guards would totally make my day as at short range, they will totally be effective.
