About the MKII System: The CAM870 Shotgun by APS has proven itself to be one of the most favored Airsoft shotguns on the market. Revered for its realist build and operation and variety of configurations, the APS CAM870 quickly became one of the most popular Airsoft gun on the market over the last few years. After listening to the feedback of Airsofters and industry professionals, APS went back to the drawing board to make the CAM870 even better.
The result is the CAM870 MKII. Identical in exterior design and build quality, the CAM870 MKII retains all of the hallmarks of the original CAM870 such as the pump action and shell ejecting action. APS however, has entirely redesigned the CAM870 gas system for the MKII system. Instead of using a complicated charging rig and having to charge each individual shotgun shell, the MKII gas system holds the gas in the bolt, requiring the user to only have to charge the bolt, reducing time spent loading and cost of shells.
Quite possibly the most realistic airsoft shotgun in the world, the APS M870 borrows from the APM50 Cartridge Ejecting Sniper Rifle and brings CQB to a whole other level.
Unlike conventional airsoft shotguns, the CAM870's power comes from the bolt itself rather than an internal gun reservoir or a spring. This allows the shotgun to be loaded with multiple shells as well as offer a realistic and smooth action with the distinctive racking sound we are all fond of followed by the ejection of a shell with each cycle.
The main feature that sets this shotgun apart from any other airsoft shotgun how the BB's are loaded into each individual shell. A plastic cup holds up to twelve 6mm BB's within the shell before it is capped with a paper top; because of how this system works, there is no longer a need for inner barrels so you may experiment with the amount of BB's to load or you may mix and match different weights of BB's and even mix in 8mm BB's for even more unique spreads. No other shotgun in airsoft will come even close to the amount of BB's fired in one pull of the trigger, nor will they come even close to giving you the spread pattern and coverage of the CAM870.
The build quality of this shotgun is also very impressive. The CAM870 boasts an impressive heft to it adding to the realism. Metal parts include the internals, receiver, barrel, magazine tube, trigger guard, trigger, and action. With a 6+1 ammo capacity, you will have more than enough overwhelming firepower to clear any room.
