"Behold! Someone dumb enough to purchase a $180 tracer unit and gaze upon my experience with this tracer.

Is it worth it?
In truth you’re paying for the metal 3D printed shell that it comes with. The actual tracer itself is about $70-80, so if you’re gunna buy this, try to look for a sale. I got mine on sale for about $80 after shipping etc. so it was an amazing deal. Otherwise No…don’t buy this, no matter how cool I think it is, the money you pay is just not worth it since the tracer inside is on the “cheaper side” of acetech.

The Actual Tracer itself
I’ve used this tracer three times so far as of purchasing it and I have to say it’s a little inconvenient compared to my other tracer (Noveske Spitfire). The tracer itself is a standard ACETECH Bifrost M RGB Tracer. So yes, gamers rejoice you can now have RGB Bifrost. The way the tracer turns on is to simply fire a bb through the tracer. Which is cool, but I also couldn’t figure out how to turn the tracer off after that, it’s marketed to turn itself off after inactivity but the third time I tried to use it, it was out of charge. It was probably my fault but still a little annoying that (as far as I know) there isn’t a manual way to turn on and off the tracer unit. The Bifrost is bright and accents nicely with the actual muzzle brake now all you need is a smokey wolf in there lol.

The Shell
As mentioned before the shell is clearly 3D printed, however it’s made out of some kind of metal alloy. While i’m not certain what exact metal it is, it feels like pot metal of some kind as it feels similar to a few of my metal airsoft replicas. It’s a three piece construction which includes the muzzle brake, the thread adaptor, and a grub screw. With the presence of the grub screw you don’t need to worry about screwing the tracer on and it not lining up correctly, simply unscrew the grub screw with the included tool and remove it, then thread on your tracer onto your desired angle and position and screw the grub back in. Sure it’s another step to add compared to friction fit tracers but it’s really not that bad. On a sour note the grub screw, while made of metal does seem like (not that this happened to me) it could easily strip out if the tracer is forced to screw a certain way, which could destroy both threads on the tracer and whatever replica you have attached to it. So take it with a grain of salt. But overall the construction of the shell is well done and I personally have no complaints.

Conclusion
I really like this tracer, I love to upset my friends my putting it on my AAP-01 or my Kriss Vector. But I can’t justify the price, it’s a solid construction yes but I can’t justify over 200% premium for what you get…
