"this gun is amazing and i love that it's ambidextrous so that way i can get my left hand reps in just the only thing that i have an issue with is the mag. mine wont come apart to change the bb count and its just a little wiggly in the mag well but i dont really need the 30 round count just would be cool. i just bought a few mid cap mags for it and i run them over the standard issue mag and they make the gun look better but overall a very recommended first gun for beginners aka me 🙂.

"I been looking for a new outdoor rifle. Something for something durable to last long range, hour long games and this was perfect. This easily replaced my older rifles.

It comes with a pre-installed mosfet, easily handle the recommended battery, extremely durable especially the metal handguard, and is relatively light.

My only complaints are opinionated, the charging handle wasn't ambidextrous, don't like the stock, and the mag release is polymer. I've lost mags before when the mag release was accidentally pushed so be careful or just upgrade everything on this list.

"I have been playing airsoft for about a year and this thing has carried me through that just fine. I would say for the money this is hands down one of the best guns for it's price.

PROS:
-good cost-benefit ratio
-metal handguard
-good long range performance
-hop is good
-motor can handle quick bursts of semi
-RPM must be at least 19
-VERY comfortable
-comes with a sick metal tri-prong flash hider
-gears came pre-shimmed
-weighting is nice
-again you're getting your money's worth

CONS:
-gripe but I wish they had a sling point on the lower receiver
-gearbox design is not as after-market friendly as other options
-mine came with a broken dust cover, might just be me, I don't know
-handguard rail and receiver do not perfectly align, not enough to be a massive problem but it is annoying, although again might just be mine
-many competitors are offering both an M95 or other 310-360 fps spring AND a M125 or other 390-415 fps spring, to allow for more options with fields. This only comes with a M115 or M125 spring, I haven't figured out which yet. I'm not sure if I was supposed to get two springs, but would be very nice if they included them. I ran into issues with field selection and had to purchase an M90 spring back when I first started.
-Irons are hard plastic, but still plastic, and they have to be manually flipped. Not major at all, just a gripe.

OVERALL:
For the money it's good, but there are little changes that would make it much better. I will probably keep using mine for years to come, as the gearbox is basically maxed out already, and maybe I'll change the hop up unit because that does matter a lot to me. I also need to fix the dust cover, but other than that it's very good. I love the feel of it, and the trigger clicks like a mouse. Nothing more satisfying then a click and a kill.

"this is an amazing gun. shoots fast on semi and on full auto. i would definitely recommend this for anyone with the lower budget definitely a great starting gun.

just the mag that came with it the inside piece where you can change the ammo count to 30/130 is stuck in there but its fine because i dont care to use the 30 round switch anyway and i have extra mags anyway and the pistol grip does get a little warm after a few mins of shooting but thats fine

overall 10/10 gun anyway definitely worth it

"This gun is insane, very accurate even at long range 10/10 would recommend. It comes with iron sights so that’s an obvious plus and has a great feel and is overall light even though it has a lot of metal components.

"I got the CQB version and I am very happy with it. The only thing one should know before buying is that the fps range of 330-360 is false. Mine shot very hot over that at 395 which is good for me as my field limits are 400 but if yours are lower you may have a tough time.

"This is a real training tool. It feels great in the hands and is solid. The carbine length version gives me a close replica feel to the real thing, which is invaluable for training. Arcturus and Evike hit it out of the park with this guy, and for a fair price. Keep up the good work.

"I bought the 13.5” Rifle version and I am not disappointed at all.

For $225 this has to be the nicest shooting rifle I’ve ever owned. Its trigger makes it super easy to spam semi, with no overspin or misfiring. Accuracy at super long range could be improved with an upgraded barrel and bucking, but for being stock this thing rocks.

I would 10/10 recommend one of these models, this thing shoots better than a $450 Krytac

"I've only had this gun about a week but so far it's an amazing gun. Super lightweight yet feels very durable. For the value I'm not sure if there's much competition for quality. I won't say any names but I bought a m4 that retails for $200 and it was very disappointing and ended up sending it back for this.

Pros -

Very easy to take off orange tip. It's just a hex screw that you pop out and twist off the orange tip. Took me under a minute.

Comes with lots of cool things in the box (black tip, stickers, iron sights, magnets, etc.)

Lightweight

Magazine feels quality and looks good

Flat trigger feels good

TONS of battery space with a very quality deans connector

Very realistic

2 QD Sling mounts!!! Very nice to have (One on handguard, other on stock)

Very accurate out of the box without touching the hop-up

Haven't felt the motor get hot even after extended semi-auto firing (2600 mAh - 15C battery)

Stock barely wiggles AT ALL. Super impressed. Feels very nice and lots of adjustments you can make.

Realistic gun overall

Cons -

When pulling back the charging handle to open the dust cover, it sometimes doesn't work. (Dust cover doesn't always open)

Iron sights are plastic (Not a big deal, they still feel quality and look good but just personal preference)

Overall -

I love this thing so far. As I said I haven't had it for long but with the backyard shooting I've done so far it's been great.

"I can not recommend this rifle enough. $225 May be a hefty price for some, but I can assure you it is worth every penny. The gun shoots amazing, and the HopUp is great. On top of that, the weight of the gun itself and the feel of its grip make it amazing to hold. The M-LOK rail is extremely well made and can take a beating. My only complaint would be that the orange tip was hard to remove (It might have been user error). In addition the gun itself being great, the packaging, and items included in it were far above standard for its price tag. The gun comes with a black flash hider that screws directly on after taking the orange one off. It also comes with a deans to Tamiya adapter and several stickers. Overall this rifle feels, looks, and shoots great. I can’t recommend it enough.

"As an owner of this absolute beast it can confirm that it is amazing. I got it, put an 11.1 battery in it, slapped a red dot on the top and am using .28s in it and it is insane. Haven’t played competitively with it yet. But I expect it to be able to reach out and be almost a DMR type. It is very fun to play with and if you slap a suppressor on the end it looks amazing.

Pros:
Full auto speed,
Feels sturdy in the hands,
Pretty light and maneuverable,
Consistent and accurate shots,
Decently quiet,
Holds zero,
Flat and responsive trigger,
Overall feel if the gun feels very nice.

Cons:
The ambidextrous fire selector gets in the way sometimes but that might just be me,
The right fire sector has a slight rattle but tightening the screw fixed it,
At the beginning the orange tip was difficulty to take off, lots of glue, had to blow torch it to melt the glue, not a problem just sort if inconvenient,

My overall rating is a 5/5, slight inconveniences but very very good gun. I would buy again.

"To begin, I'm very Biased to Arcturus and have been since I discovered them. I use AEGs strictly, I don't have ANY HPA guns so I like to think that I know what I'm looking for in an AEG airsoft gun. If you're familiar with anything made by Arcturus, you should probably be expecting high quality right out of the box and this one is no exception. I purchased the Carbine version of the Sword Mod 1, slapped a red dot on that thing, and adjusted the hopup. Using .28s it EASILY hits 150 feet, wind not withstanding. It shoots at a pretty consecutive 1.45 to 1.47 Joules which is right on the limit for the field I go to. The single most important thing about any AEG I get, that I've found Arcturus is able to produce, is to give the BBs the ability to shoot far, shoot straight and shoot fast, all without touching the internals. I can long range shoot with this thing, but that may not be the case if you get one of the shorter options, since inner barrel length has as much of an effect on range and accuracy, as how tight the barrel does. It comes with a 6.02mm Inner barrel which is the norm for Arcturus. Their mosfet (in-line, non programmable) allows me to squeeze off shots in quick succession. Works great with a Titan 7.4 Li-On battery. Haven't tried the 11.1 and honestly, I don't see the need to either. The stock is their new design and it works great, just turn the nob on the butt plate counterclockwise 45 degrees and the compartment opens up but stays attached so you wont lose it. There's plenty of space. I have two 7.4 Titan batteries in the stock, one in each channel, those tubes on either side of the stock.

In terms of the Arcturus AK04's performance, I used that as a baseline when judging the Sword Mod 1 and honestly, they both match. The only thing the AK04 does better is have a higher joule output, since the spring is also slightly more powerful. However, they both accomplish my need to hit long range and be deadly accurate. At first I was worried that the Nylon Receiver wouldn't be super durable. I actually ended up dropping it my first day on the field with it and it was just fine. I still wouldn't recommend doing that too often but the Nylon isn't as weak as I feared, and it's definitely doesn't feel like it was cheaply made. It also decreases the overall weight of the gun which is awesome. I've fully kitted this thing out with a red dot, a peq box, some pic rails, a foregrip and a suppressor and it's still a lot less bulkier than the AK04 is without any attachments.

If you have any doubts, take it from somebody who owns 3 different Arcturus models, they work WONDERFULLY. They never seem to disappoint, and they come with internal upgrades out of the box at least $100 cheaper than other brands who just put a stock gun together. It performs so much better than the Krytac Warsport LVOA-S I had which retails at about $400, shot farther, more accurately, and just felt better in every regard. The gun slaps and Arcturus has nailed this one.
