"I’m really impressed how Krytac made this. It’s accurate out of the box and the full-auto is so fun. It also comes with a black muzzle so you can instantly swap it with the orange tip. The only downside is the price of the pistol and the mags.

"This is a great pistol out of the box not too heavy extremely accurate and it looks cool.
You can HPA this With the AAP01 mag you just need to file the little nub off the back of the mag and it fits great.
If you don't HPA this. I suggest going with the 3 mag bundle since the mags are $50 a piece
pros. Looks great very accurate not too heavy
cons. A little pricey.

"This gun is great , I’ve had the gun for 2 days and it’s amazing. I took it to the field this weekend and it worked great, easy to move around and easy to aim and shoot( based on strength). The gun is pretty hefty for a pistol but other than that, it’s a great gun.

"Pros:
Built in tracer(which is on par with a Bifrost), very modular, full-auto, amazingly unique look, comes with swapabble front without orange paint.
Cons:
Expensive. Seems to only fit its own mags.
Krytac's first pistol was a very unique and ambitious choice in the Maxim 9. It looks amazing and is packed with features, and after shooting it while its tracer was installed, I fully recommend picking one up.

"Cons: Hard to find, heavy, no upgrades, price of mags
Pros: Accurate, gets you chicks, everyone loves it(including me), bluetooth function is neat, ergonomic grip, light trigger pull, but most importantly, quiet.. way quieter than anything else...

"Super impressive gun. Co2 version is loud and accurate. Was thinking of getting a gas magazine to compare with.
And yes.. it looks like they want you to buy their's. As all the glock ones I have don't fit.

"With something as unique as this pistol is, there will always be some drawbacks. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't come with the optics plate mentioned (does not say not included, nor is it in the recommended section). The description and features both highlight this new optics mount but fail to mention it doesn't come with the pistol. Other accessories state sold separately. If I'd have known this, I would have ordered the plate along with the pistol. Please update the product page as it's misleading otherwise

"I’ve had the gun for a bit of time now, and it looks and feels awesome! I did want to note down a few cons, though.
The slide catch has a hard time catching on empty compared to other airsoft pistols I’ve owned, even if it isn’t that cold. If you keep shooting the pistol on empty without a dry-firing adapter in the magazine, then the slide catch will rub the slide, causing the slide to wear and show silver around where it’s meant to catch. It leaves a very visible mark.
The entire polymer section of the gun wobbles slightly. Thankfully this isn’t noticeable when just using it normally, but I’m betting that after prolonged use, this wobble could get worse. You could probably pack a material somewhere inside the gun to reduce the wobble, but I haven’t tried yet.
I remember a review I watched about this gun where the reviewer called the trigger break “crisp”. I guess it could be thought of that way, but it is a very heavy trigger compared to other triggers that I’ve used. From what people say about the real steel Maxim 9’s trigger, this is apparently realistic.
The Krytac website mentions that the gun is compatible with Tokyo Marui magazines. At the moment, this isn’t the case. TM mags have a small nub protruding out of the back of the mag, which prevents it from sliding into the Maxim’s magwell. Krytac told me that filing the nub off the mag would allow it to work, but it still doesn’t. the TM mag is slightly different dimensionally than the Krytac mag, so it’ll just fall right out. Krytac told me in an email that mag compatibility would be fixed in future runs of this gun, but they didn’t specify a date, so I’d suggest maybe asking them or something.
A positive note is that the gun is pretty consistently accurate, especially on single fire. The ability to run an RMR is also really helpful in aiding accuracy. There’s no issues with a cheap airsoft RMR losing zero either, because the RMR isn’t attached to the slide.
The gun is incredibly unique, and the ability to hide a tracer inside makes the gun even better. If you don’t mind selling your soul to afford this gun, I highly recommend it.

"This is another excellent product from Krytac. The weight feels really good in the hand. The quality is very apparent. The mags are SUPER LIGHT! The GBB mags go into cooldown quickly but, due to the aluminum the warm up quickly too.
Three Maxim9 cons:
1st - The trigger pull is a bit heavy. I am hoping to see a trigger mod for the maxim 9
2nd - The sights out of the box are a bit off to the left. With the heavy trigger break, I thought I would pull it to the right. That is not the case.
3rd - The barrel is an 05. I was looking at doing a barrel swap and this looks like a pretty complex side arm to get inside of to do so. The barrel seems to be okay. I was able to get a 21mm spread at 20ft with a primary arms RMR sight.
4th - This con is not really about the gun but more so about the lens protectors available in the airsoft market. It is pretty difficult to find a protector that fits with the recessed cut out for the RMR sight.
The Krytac hardshell holster is nothing special however it fits on a battle belt pretty nicely. I have not tried putting on my blade drop leg system yet.
The tracer unit is great! Unique to the Maxim 9. The cleaning rod doubles as a programmer for the unit. There is an orange fire color that is exclusive to this tracer unit. The tracer unit will fit in the maxim 9 in the short and long configuration. Also with all 3 end caps.
I am going to give the Maxim 9 a 4 out of 5 stars. For the price, I wish it was a bit easier to disassemble to get to the hop unit and barrel. I also would like to see the Maxim 9 get some sort of trigger mod. It is pretty hard not to pull shots to the right as a right handed person.
