"Pretty awesome kit but it’s got its minor flaws

First complaint is that there are no instructions what so ever. A bit of advice, before getting this kit be mindful that you will have to disassemble your AAP01 and reassemble it into the kit. Just separate the components such as the bolt, top receiver, outer barrel, and lower receiver and attempt to start the kit from there

Second complaint is that the screws that hold the kit together may need some thread locker. But before assembling the barrel onto the body of the kit I’d suggest placing a small piece of electrical tape on the top and bottom because without it the barrel has a lot of give and can move up and down.

Thirdly I’d like to point out that this kit doesn’t come with a ton of hardware. For example, the charging handle that’s included doesn’t have a way of securing itself onto the bolt. Normally there are screws to secure it but this kit has none at all. You’re also supposed to be able to center a tracer unit inside the barrel of the kit but it’s impossible with the lack of hardware.

Overall despite my complaints the kit is extremely solid. It’s full metal, feels good in the hand and will for sure turn heads at the field.

"First off, I think this kit is awesome. It's pretty weighty and feels solid. Does what it's supposed to do and makes me feel like I'm holding a small carbine in my hands. And as long as the circumference isn't too wide, you can fit a mock suppressor/tracer on your AAP. It even comes with some stabilizing screws to hold the suppressor to center! But there are 3 things dropping this down to a four star instead of five.

1.) You will need some screw locktite because the screws WILL rattle themselves loose even after light handling.

2.) This kit does not come with any instructions. I like working on things so that's no problem to me, but to someone who wants to just get it done, you just have to guess the first steps

3.) The picatinny rail on this is very narrow. I have 3 sights I have tried, including a Micro dot with a picatinny rail attachment and all of them are loose in one way or another. I had to add tape to the bottom to minimize wobble to the sights

Overall, I love it. Can't wait to try it out at my field
