"So I spent around two weeks researching the best AEG on the market and the general consensus was consistently bringing me to reddit threads and Youtube videos on the Scorpion Evo. All the reviews stated that this is the best out of the box airsoft gun for the price. I watched video after video and read thread after thread until I was convinced.
Order contents:
ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 Airsoft AEG (Model: BET Carbine / Black)
Matrix Lipo 3+ Compact 1-3 Cell LiPo / Li-Ion Smart Balance Charger
Matrix High Performance 11.1V Stick Type Airsoft LiPo Battery (Configuration: 1200mAh / 20C / Deans)
The item came in much faster than expected. I opened the box and it appeared to have already been opened? Not sure. The BET Silencer had visible finger prints on it (Not a big deal). I hope it was just where they tested the weapon. Anyhow, the weapon itself looked beautiful.
Contents of box:
ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 Airsoft AEG (Model: BET Carbine / Black)
One ASG 75rd Standard Magazine for CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 AEG
Evike Playing Card
So I noticed straight away that my box was missing the iron sights. I contacted Evike and they were awesome. They sent a replacement straight away without any issue.
As far as the weapon goes, I only have one real complaint. And it is the barrel assembly where you put the battery. I ordered the recommended Matrix High Performance 11.1V Stick Type Airsoft LiPo Battery (Configuration: 1200mAh / 20C / Deans), and let me tell you when I say it is a task getting the battery in the weapon and closing it all back up. First, you unscrew the Silencer (BET), then the handguard just pulls off. The bolt and spring are just sitting in the handguard and WILL fall out every time if you're not careful so be sure to pay attention. There is also a sling mount that literally just lays in a slot and will fall out too so I recommend doing all this indoors, on a table, with great lighting so you can see when something falls out. So the battery plugs right in and fits easily inside the top of the weapon. The issue comes when putting the weapon back together. The handguard is very difficult (For me at least) to put back on while holding the battery in place, holding the bolt and springs, holding the sling retainer, and shimmying the guard until it finally sits flush on the weapon. The last issue is that the bolt slides forward and back (as it should), BUT if you put the battery in too far to the left, the bolt will get caught on it as there is no dedicated slot for the bolt. They just sit in there together and will jam up if they get too close.
Now that the bad is out of the way, we will get to the good. The weapon feels very well made. Every piece is beautiful and it literally looks like the real weapon aside from the small orange tip. The three fire modes work perfectly and the selector switch clicks very well. The stock folds and clicks as it should with no issues. And it fires very well. I have had maybe ONE or TWO bbs that didn't come out of the barrel going full speed. But out of around 2,000.. That isn't bad. It fires like 19 rounds a second which for me is insane.
Magazine:
So the magazine is a love/hate thing. I love that it fires 75 rounds without having to crank a cog. It feeds them perfectly every time and they look/feel amazing. HOWEVER, loading these magazines is not fun at all. I didn't have a speedloader (My fault) so I used a straw. If you're hand loading these, be careful.. If you compress the side retainers in the slightest, you will have a volcano of bbs shower the room. I have since then ordered an electric speedloader which made life much easier.. But it still is a chore loading these things. And be sure to order the three pack or the high cap mag because no other magazine fits these, and they aren't cheap either. One last thing. When using speedloaders, the ODIN will NOT work. You either have to shave it down, or 3D print a connector. Regular hand pump speedloaders seem to be okay. But I am warning you because no one warned me.
Pros:
Beautiful
Accurate
Lightweight
Trigger is super responsive
Modular (Installed a grip, red dot, red dot protector)
Picatinny and M-LOK for ultimate customization (Picatinny on top/M-LOK on the bottom and sides)
Cons:
Battery compartment could be better, but I understand that space is very limited on this build
Magazines are very difficult to load without correct speed loader (no one really emphasized on this in the vids)
Summary:
I haven't owned an airsoft fun since 2014 because mine was stolen. BUT I can tell you that this gun makes me want to get back into it. Despite the hiccups (probably due to my inexperience), this weapon is top notch. It is solid, does not feel cheap in any way, I trust the internal components, and they pulled every stop. Compared to most of the AEG's I've researched, the price point is good for what you're getting. Time will tell, but I am overwhelmingly happy with this!

"great gun works flawlessly love the range i get out of it. The only issue I've seen is the the hop up unit/ feeding tube was damaged. not sure if i put the mag in to hard or it came like this but the feeding lip has a chunk of it missing. the gun still works just a little paranoid that it might just stop feeding in the middle of a game. other than that great gun 10/10 would think about buying another one.

"I got this gun about 3 weeks ago and the battery came 2 days ago. I got the matrix battery, it doesn’t fit in the gun though. So buy a peq box if the battery doesn’t fit.
Pros:
High Rps (18 rps)
Fast trigger response
Burst fire
Bolt release
Cons:
Batteries are hard to find online
Installing battery is annoying.
Solid gun for the price

"Shoots amazingly right our of the box great rof, accuracy and fps. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the mags. I'd recommend an angel custom electronic drum mag and it's ready to destroy.

"Out of the box this gun is extremely effective and able to shoot 175ft and 17rps with an 11.1Lipo. Now that being said there are a few cons, first of all the battery space is very small. The best battery I have found is an 11.1 Butterfly type Lipo. secondly it is hard to take apart to do upgrades but it's fine stock and it really comes down to personal preference.Over all I would highly recommend this gun, and the pros which include a quick change spring system, empty mag detection and three round burst far outweigh the cons in my opinion.

"This is my second Evo (I got one of the stubby guns first, liked it so much I wanted another). I researched this gun for a while before getting the first one, especially since I already have 5 other different guns and didn't really need another unless it were a whole lot better than the ones I already have. And this one is, it has features that not many guns in this price range have.
I liked the fact that it's made very similar to the real item it's based on, I liked you can use tracer units and suppressors. The accessories like the mags and carry case, are well made but pricey. I liked the 1 year warranty (it shows the maker has faith in the gun since they wouldn't offer the warranty if it were junk).
PRO:
- high rate of fire (with an 11 v lipo it's a BB hose)
- has a MOSFET already
- very quiet in operation
- European designed and assembled
- Very easy to change the motor if you need or want to
-CON:
-Gun and accessories, mags etc. are pricey.
- Battery storage is a problem... It's designed for an 11 volt lipo but making the battery fit inside is a different matter! An 11 Volt lipo barely fits (the ASG 11.1 lipo does fit the best of all the ones I tried) but only after a lot of tucking in wires and cramming the battery and all the wiring into the foreend section, while wrestling with the cocking handle and its spring too...it's a real PITA. Also consider the maker says you should/must disconnect the battery when the gun is not in use, too! (to protect the electronic firing mechanism or something like that) I just gave up trying to cram the battery inside the gun and got a mock PEQ battery box instead - problem solved. No the battery box is not pretty but, compared to wrestling with the battery, battery wires, cocking handle and spring, and barrel cover every time, it was an easy decision to make (I run the battery wire out the ejection port).
I have put around 8,500 bb's through the Scorpion Evo (the shorty) and the Evo carbine I shot another 1,300 bb's, and so far no problem with either gun...A funny thing i noticed, the shorty seems more accurate then the carbine, when you'd assume it should be the other way round.

"This gun is completely worth the price, built like a tank with no loose parts or wiggle. Don't let the word "tank" mislead you though because this gun is so light and easy to move around with. It also has the capability to shoot a considerable distance which I found out can come in very handy even in cqb areas. The only cons I have are that the battery compartment is very very small which is a complaint that I garuntee you'll hear in any review video. The only other con there is, is that it isn't very easy nor fun to try and attach rails to the side or bottom of the handgaurd, I don't know if that's just because I have big hands though. Besides the fact that I just listed two pretty bigs cons in my option this gun is so amazing that just couldn't give it a 4 star.

"My first review was a little lack luster so here is a detailed review.
Fps readings-
.20's - 425 to 435 fps
.25's - 395 to 405 fps
.30's - 355 to 365 fps
This gun can easily compete many other expensive guns. (Ah-hem krytac)
The best stock gun out their. Would recommend to people who don't want to upgrade their gun.
Pros:
1. Very accurate
2. Very fun to use
3. Accurate out to 225 feet. ( I measured )
4. Charging handle racks when mag is empty.
5. Not a m4
6. Burst is fun
7. Beastly Hop-up
Cons:
1. Mags and accessories are expernsive
2. Mid-Caps are 75 rounds
3. Doesn't come with a m-lok rail segment
Get this gun you get to feel like ELA from Rainbow Six Siege.

"I have owned this gun for several months, and love it. It is EXTREMELY accurate, responsive, and worth the money. I wrote a lengthy review a while ago that never got posted, so I'll keep it short here.
Pros:
- Very quick trigger response
- 3 round burst is deadly at ~150 feet
- Very, very accurate
- High ROF
- Very light
- Feels extremely high quality and durable
- Looks incredible, and I always get asked about it
- Stock flash hider and sights are cool
Cons:
- Battery space is very limited, and difficult to access
- Pricey
Overall, I would purchase it again if I broke this one.

"Love this AEG. Got it as a backup to my HPA Scorpion. Shoots great, burst mode is mucho fun. Trigger response is sweet. Don't believe the 394 fps claim. Mine shot 440 fps consistently out of the box. Gun will likely need a spring downgrade to be legal at most fields.
Pro:
Great trigger response
Accuracy and range
Looks cool
Con:
Shoots 440fps out of the box
Battery is a pain to install
Worst orange flash hider ever to remove

"I got the gun exactly when it was supposed to come and I loved it right out of the box. It was delivered in amazing shape and I don’t see any way people can’t love this gun. After getting a good scope I ended up narrowing it down and I noticed that it didn’t always fire close to the same space, let me explain. I would aim at a target and since the gun has little to no blowback I had it aimed right at the target when it hit the five inch target. I then shot again but somehow missed by over five inches. This is classified as a DMR so I was expecting a little better aim but whatever. The main problem is how fast it malfunctions. I tested it and it was great, few weeks later went to a airsoft field and it was great. Skip to four months of having it and using it an appropriate amount, I was narrowing down the scope even better than before when I started shooting and after a couple shots the bullets started to dip down and land only fifteen feet away. After I talked to some professionals about the problem because it happened consistently they told me to put rubbing alcohol in the barrel with some paper towels that did nothing and mind you this gun was with me for only a couple of months and hadn’t taken any really big falls. I don’t know what is happening but if someone does please help me out. It just keeps getting worse. But besides that it is one of the best guns I have ever had! Really like the texture and smoothness of the interparts. Maybe one of my gears have slipped but I don’t know. Keep this in mind when thinking of buying. By the way they also told me to put silicone oil into the mag shaft and it worked for a little so make sure to have that at hand.
