"So a few things.

I bought the mask because I like the look and figured, I'd probably break it and just use the mouth/face guard with goggles.
Turns out, My P90 was not able to break it (stock ~350 fps 1.5j)
I tried a few other guns at close range and it still didn't break. I read the comment saying it wasn't rated properly so I looked into what the difference is. ANSI Z80.3 is the same test without the glass having a border/frame.

So this mask CAN be used for airsoft, BUT it is still not full seal. as there's no foam on the edges.
Before I take it on the field I will have my friend with a sniper shoot it.

as for the face plate, it's some type of metal so it should be fine. It also has a plastic inner liner.

"I love this mask personally. Adjustable straps and the rubber mouth piece is plenty breathable. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the setup for the visor. It uses locking nuts instead of just screwing into threads. It wouldn't be a huge deal if the nuts weren't so tiny. Not a deal breaker but an awesome mask nonetheless.

I would not use this on the field. Purely cosplay aesthetic.
