"I was really excited to get my hands on this, and the result is definitely worth it in my opinion. The pistol itself featured an impressive quality to it. There's some beautiful machined parts here, and the entire metal construction feels really smooth to the touch. It features some Chinese markings which may not be your style if you're seeking to roleplay German, but they're small enough you can at least ignore them. For me, who loves to study China's Republican Warlord era, this is a great detail.
The wooden stock is great, too - it's the entire reason I gave in and bought the gun. It's made of plastic, and so doesn't feel quite as nice compared to the pistol itself. But the look of the stock attached alone is really worth it. I've always had a thing for pistol+stock combos. I've read reviews noting that the stock is fragile, and can bend/contort very easily. Not sure if it's been fixed of mine is just different, but my stock feels really solid and won't move a bit. The only thing is, it can wobble a little bit at the point of connection, but it's super mild. This is good, because I exclusively bought this to serve as a pistol carbine.
I can't comment on performance beyond a brief test due to cold weather. What little I've tried, this little guy is extremely capable, and puts a lot of power downrange which I think lets it shoot above its weight.
If you think you're interested in this, as a sidearm or primary, I'd recommend giving it a shot. It feels great to hold and, judging from my own tests and the reviews of several others, can still give you solid performance in the field.

"best m712 ever
pros:
1, better paint was used .
2. 1:1 replica to the real m712, even the disassembling is quite similar
3. perfect fps for CQB
4. hard kick
cons:
1. drop free mag ( can be pro)
2. loud
3. rate of fire is way too high
overall , a great gun , with the stock is only 150 . definitely worth

"this is a beauty. its sturdy with a nice weight to it, the stock attaches well and holds nice and firm. the mags dont leak, only thing i find interesting is just cocking the hammer wont fire it, you have to pull the bolt. My only gripe is the bolt release doesnt seem to work, with or without a mag, but either with a full mag or without a mag, just pull the bolt and youre set.

"I've used this gun for about a year and I must say, it is excellent. Sure, it's heavy, doesn't fit in a standard holster, and the only available attachment for it is the stock it comes with, but it does get a lot of compliments and attention on the field. The stock/holster has no way to attach it to a belt, but you can modify certain kinds of conventional holsters to accommodate the gun (I did this with a drop-leg holster and it works great). As a stock, the stock/holster does its job well, although it is a little long for my taste (but I am a small guy). Blowback is crisp and loud, especially with the stock attached, which acts as an amplifier and delivers every sound right to your ear. ROF on full auto is decent, no 30 rps, but definitely not slow, either. With the stock attached, it becomes something akin to an smg or pdw; the magazine well can even double as a foregrip. Mine also came with a small ring that attaches to the bottom of the grip to allow you to attach a sling. For techs, the gun is VERY easy to dismantle; I was able to disassemble it, install a new inner barrel, and reassemble it in only a few minutes.
The only thing that stands between the WE-712 and five stars are a few minor flaws. First, the hop up can only be adjusted by means of a freakishly tiny screw, which means that if you want to adjust it on the fly, you're going to have to carry a freakishly tiny screwdriver with you onto the field. Second, the rail on the stock was not the right size to fit into the slot on the grip; I had to sand the rail down several times before it would fit right, and still managed to break part of the slot only minutes after opening the box (another gripe: the slot on the grip is very fragile). Finally, the body around the bolt is very thin; mine got dented by a stray bb during some cqb skirmishing and actually impeded the bolt's movement. I was able to sand it back down with a Dremel tool, but the dent on the outside of the body still remains.
Final verdict: If you like historical weapons or are a fan of the C96, M712, or Han Solo, get this gun, but be aware that it does have its faults. Personally, I find that the pros outweigh the cons, making this a fun little sidearm (or even a primary) for most situations. If you can get around its few flaws, you'll find that it will serve you well

"Pretty good gun not too heavy but when i got it the shoulder stock wouldn't fit so i had to file that down a lot. The fire selector switch disassembled itself a couple of times but it was easy to fix just a bit of epoxy. The selector is by far the worst part of the gun, it can rotate and refuse to work and its just kinda finicky but its not too bad. A minor complaint is that the floor plates for the mags chip really easy and the follower for one of the big mags cracked in half but it still works fine. My gun also shoots full auto sometimes so that sucks. But these are minor complaints the gun is really good it could probably use a revision or 2 before it becomes perfect though.

"A very competent gbb gun. hop-up dial is pretty annoying to use and i had to file down a small flathead screwdriver just so it would fit but once i got it dialed in it shot very straight.
Erganomics are great except for the fire selector which is a bit finnicky, thankfully it has a button lock or else the recoil would probably cause it to flip to auto.
The blowback is quite strong while still keeping good fps and gas efficiency
The wooden stock is very long and if you intend to use it, it will take some getting used to unless you're the kind of person who uses stocks fully extended. The stock itself is also strangely accoustic and amplifies literally any sound this gun makes.
sight picture is pretty slim and with full eye/face protection may be impossible to use.
If you intend to use this with a leather c96 holster you should be aware that the barrel on this model is quite long and will not fit unless you do some modifications to the holster
All in all this is a very solid and economical choice for a GBB gun, both it and the magazines are non-MAP'd and the mags are only 22 bucks so you can get the gun and two extra mags for under 200 dollars.

"This is a very nice, very unique gun that kicks nicely and shoots accurately with the included stock, however one of the magazines I got ended up leaking after a few months, so be wary of that.

"the gun is made very well however i had a few problems the republic of china markings aren't there and the fire selector switch has a n and a r instead of numbers. the shoulder stock is very tight and won't connect all the way. other wise it is a great gun
