CYMA MP443 Electric Blowback AEP Pistol

"This has gone completely under the radar on this site - for those who are looking for an incredibly uncommon handgun, this is the Russian standard sidearm MP443.

It has a nice sleek look - the magazine eject and safeties work perfectly without any looseness, and the trigger has a very reasonable pull. The electric blowback, while not the most important thing to me, adds the satisfying effect mimicking the report of a real gun. It snaps back in your hand with every pull - neatly, the gun also slides back when empty and can be reset with the slide stop lever on the left, just like the real deal.

I actually dropped this on accident at some point - despite the motor giving a worrying whirring noise, the replica was working perfectly afterwards. It's much more durable than I thought (though I would not try to give it a mud test or bang it around).

Despite the above features, this is not a weapon I'd field as a serious primary. This gets (at best) ~190 to ~210 with .25s and .20s, respectively. I didn't adjust the hop up while shooting it in my backyard, but it definitely did not feel like it would shoot far. Try bringing this to CQB.

Another issue is finding magazines for this - you'll need to search hard across third-party websites for the right ones, which must be CYMA-brand. The magazines contain the Lipo batteries which power the gun - they can also be a little troublesome to load since they are incompatible with speedloaders. However, this isn't so much an issue since each mag only holds a few rounds and can be done quickly by hand.

I'm a sucker for unique weapons, and this is definitely one I enjoy bringing out just for its novelty. If you're a fan of Russian-style pistols and/or are looking for an unorthodox collector's item, try the MP443!
