Matrix / S&T AK Series Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ G3 Electronic Trigger QD Spring Gearbox (Model: AK-74M / Polymer)

"I bought this with the intentions of tearing it up. So that I can learn more about the internal workings and mechanism of the gearbox. I know, I know.... I could have just taken it apart but I already did that and rebuilt it and continued that process until the FPS and ROF was back to factory specs, which is around 380 to 400- fps. Which, I think that's what the ad stated. I'm very new at airsoft. I haven't even been to a airsoft field, yet. 95 percent of the time spent on airsoft is in the gearbox . Can't explain it, but I absolutely love working on airsoft rifles. I have 6 airsoft guns, 4 rifles,2 pistol. Taken apart all of them. Well, not the Elite Force m4. My 2nd airsoft. Can't be upgraded. So I'm selling it. Didn't know better. Anyways great gun. I blew it up with 32:1 gears and a m170 spring. It was awesome!!! Waiting for my new gearbox right now!

"The good:
- handles like a dream
- light
- feels solid for the price

The bad:
- most mags I tried wobbled
- finicky fire selector
- doesn't shoot on semi if you pull the trigger too quickly
- most likely won't survive a drop

Honestly, it's an amazing budget gun, you're getting a lot of features you wouldn't normally get in this price range (QD spring gearbox, electronic trigger), and this gun will serve you well for at least a year if you take care of it.

"Its nice for the price, got it as a gift and it shoots surprisingly nice. Metal where it counts and it doesn't feel like Im gonna break the gun by playing with the charging handle. Only problem out of the box was the battery connector wasn't soldered correctly but nothing tape cant fix. All in all good gun and a good candidate for an internal swap. If you want a gun that's gonna be your primary long term i suggest getting something maybe with another 70 dollars more but if you just want an AK that shoots nice and wont snap for cheap? this is your best bet.

"Please consider buying a different AK replica. This is very cost effective. However with the build quality externally and internally. It would be better to buy one that is another $100, even if it is only buying a full metal replica. This would however be great for a beginner who is not going to do a full internal swap and just wants to get into Airsoft and start playing!
