Snow Wolf AUG A3 Improved Bullpup Airsoft AEG Rifle (Color: Desert Tan / Rifle)

"After waiting 2.5 years to be re-stock I finally buyed one of these replicas, but the issue with me is that I never shot this stock, I rewired the whole replica with a Perun AB++ mosfet to improve reliability and now I can run a Lipo battery without worring for arching, also I put a ASG 18K motor, it was so tight fitted that I jammed the motor and thanks to the mosfet nothing more severe happened, just dissasemble and adjust the height. I can run a M150 Systema spring with a Matrix 11.1V 20V 1450mah with ease, and with the bullpup configuration, I installed a madbull 509mm 6.01 precision inner barrel.

Good features:

Easy to dissasemble.
Comfortable for what you can do with it.
Quick change spring

Have in mind that:

The plastic is cheap, it seems like it wont be broken easily but the feel is cheap.

not too much space on the buttstock for batteries, I recommend a battery with these dimensions: 101mm X 20mm X 32mm, more bigger than that and it wont fit.

No ball bearing on the spring guide tho, and is a special type, not a regular V3 spring guide

If you want to do the sacrifice to make all these changes go ahead and give it a try, I hope this review helps!

"Amazing out of the box. I get excellent range and accuracy with .30g BBs, certainly way better than I'd expect for the price. The gun is also surprisingly quiet. I've had no issues whatsoever, and I don't think I'll even bother upgrading it. Hands down my favorite gun to just play with. I'll be buying another when they come back in stock.

"I got the rifle and it was nothing but good things. It shot great with good range and accuracy, had a good weight to it, and is the perfect size for cqb. The only slight problem was the handle was slightly loose but that could be easily fixed. Overall happy with my purchase.

"Hey guys. New to reviews so I’m trying my best. I bought this gun in the OD green Rifle package. The rifle behaves like your typical JG AUG (snow wolf is JG but with custom bodies) so it’s mainly focused on internals. The rifle version fires about 350-380 FPS out of the box. I’d say pretty good for what it is. Looks great. Feels ok. Shoots pretty good.

Pros:
Metal barrel Assembly
Shoots moderate FPS
Accurate
Disassembles just like the real thing
Hop up is pretty good
Comes with Hi cap
Polymer body
Standard Rail on right upper side and top for attachments
Variable trigger

Cons:
“Iron sights” are plastic
Rail is plastic
Shoots kinda slow
Body IS polymer, but sorta cheap (still feels very sturdy though)

Another small problem I found is that the Orange flashhider is a little challenging to remove. I figured out if you Just heat up a small screwdriver and insert into the Allen key hole to melt the
plastic around and it will come right out.

So yeah. If you’re looking for a Airsoft fun to mod or mess around with. Or for milsim it’s actually an awesome rifle. They did good with this one. Keep up the good work snowolf/JG!

"This is a pretty good bull pup. It is pretty well priced and it can hold a good bit of attachments. The M4 could hold more but a good A3. It’s a pretty good quality and the barrel can be replaced. Over all good A3. The mags are well. I wish it came with a short mag but o well. Good gun.

"It's a decent beginner gun if you have your heart set on an AUG, but the quality isn't all the way there. On mine there is a pit in plastic behind the grip where the two plastic halfs are joined, the red and white painted dots on the safety are reversed and are in the wrong orientation, and on the right side of the plastic body near the stock, "Made in China" is embossed on the side which is frankly annoying. I am lucky enough to have an older Aftermath AUG body (better quality) which I'm in the process of modding for to put all the SW internals into. As others have said the whole top rail is plastic, which while not being the best, isn't the worst as it helps to keep the weight (& price) down and it doesn't seem unsturdy.

The one really good thing about the SW AUG that's better than all the other AUG's out there on the market right now is it has a quick change spring system which is so helpful. Even as someone who's not afraid to crack open a gear box, if you can avoid it, you're better off.

I'd personally recommend it, but just know that you are getting what you pay for.

"After reading the other reviews for this gun, I decided to go with this as my first ever airsoft rifle. I'm so glad I got this, so far it's been really good at the field, and I've gotten a lot of compliments for it. After trying out the rental M4's and getting used to those, it was a bit of a difference going to a bullpup and adjusting to the difference in the weight distribution but I think I've gotten the hang of it well. Out of the box, it shoots 360 fps on .25 bb's, right at the limit for my local field. Awesome!

PROS
-The stock mag that comes with the gun is just fine for the gun. It winds well and keeps the feed going just enough for you to last a match.
-This gun has excellent range, and is reasonably accurate at that range. I was getting kills clear across our playing field. Might be worth fancying a sight to go along with it.
-While the front grip might be a touch wobbly (and I'm lead to believe I think the real life steel weapon does the same thing), it's no issue and is very natural to grip. And if grips aren't your thing, no worries, pull down on the grip and you can swing it up and out of the way if that's your thing.
-Hop up is adjustable from both sides, two rubber dust covers hides the actual cover that's actuated by the charging handle. The space to adjust it is very small, though, and I had to take my gloves off just for my finger to reach it to adjust. Left side down adds more hop, right side downwards takes out hop.

CONS
-This gun seems to have either feed issues, trigger issues, or any of the above combined. I'm inclined to say it's a feed issue because a simple wind usually fixes it but there's something with the trigger where it gets "sticky", and there's a certain way you have to grip the trigger for it to work, read as "not as hard as you think".
-The paint finish is seemingly rubbing off little by little on my gear, there's a noticeable green smear on the corner of my plate carrier.
-This is probably a variant issue solely for the A3 with the rail along the top , but the gun has only one attach point for the sling on the back, and none on the front. Remedied with a third party sling attach I bought that goes onto the rail on the front for me. It seems the A1 and A2 don't have this issue, but it's strange no option was available for the A3.
-Evike's website suggests a 7.4v LiPo would work with the rifle, and, in a very technical sense, it does, like it works and it shoots, but the rate of fire on full auto is somewhat slow. The manual in the box suggests an 8.4v, and I'd hazard you might even want to consider a 9.6v for a much more satisfying full auto experience.

All in all, despite the teething issues with using this right out of the box, I'm overall satisfied with my first airsoft rifle, and, what the hell, I love it to death, it's an AUG for crying out loud. I think it's decent for the price, it's not perfect and that's reflected in the review (some of these issues, real annoying in the middle of a game, but it's not like the gun has self destructed yet).

There are some things I'll still have to dig into with this particular AUG, will write another review after some time has passed.

"CQB Tactical OD Green Variant I give it 3.5 - 4 stars

Pros:

- Sturdy, lightweight (polymer) build
- Metal inner barrel (outer barrel may be metal)
- Comes with a little grip
- Decent amount of rail space
- Longish barrel (I have the CQB) in a very compact frame

Cons:

- Sometimes the bolt locks up sometimes but can be fixed by shaking the gun or pushing the bolt back in if it popped out a bit
- Battery space is relatively small
- Pretty sure my safety/fire are swapped
- Mag it comes with is doodoo and the BB's don't wind to the top (yes it's high cap)
- Gearbox may be polymer but I haven't taken it apart to that extent yet

Overall it is ok but nothing special. What you'd expect for the price.

"As of now I have not shot this gun. I ordered the OD Green CQB variant due to the rifle variant being sold out. Here are my pros and cons so far:

Pros:
- Lightweight polymer build, but is very sturdy
- Comes with a vertical grip
- Functioning charging handle that is very fun to use
- Rubber butt plate is comfortable
- Stock has an okay amount of battery space

Cons:
- The "iron" sights are plastic and feel very cheap
- The high-cap mag it comes with is very hard to wind and the BB stopper thing got locked back and sent a bunch of BB's flying all over inside my gun, luckily I got them all out
- Hop Up is very hard to operate due to how stiff it is
- Trigger is kind of hard to pull but it should get easier with more use

"I want to preface this by saying I have not shot this gun yet.

Out of the bed, gun looks amazing, exactly as expected. Some cons I experienced right out of the box are that the gun has a tendency to FALL APART. The gun will decide to come apart by the pin near the mag well at any time. Even just carrying it around my house it has fallen apart at least 4 times, but mine may just be loose. Otherwise, great looks, feels sturdy, and the trigger is a bit stiff like a water gun but I assume it will get looser over time or with some WD40.

I look forward to testing it out on the field, great gun Snow Wolf!

"For 160 i expected a gun to shoot without double feeding
I tried multiple mags and it often fails to feed when theres at least 20rds in the mag.
Pros: its a heavy feeling gun that gives Emerson.
2. The barrel can come out by pulling the charging handle and locking then pushing the metal screw
3. Assembly and dissembling is easy
Cons.
1.the rails are plastic and don't feel that sturdy
2.the iron sights are plastic and very flemsy
3. It often double feeds
4. The bbs somehow find their way into the battery weld wich is the stock of the gun
5.bbs often get stock in the mag weld causing most of the jamming problems
6.the trigger is very odd and stiff you have to pull it back straight or it wont go.
Overall i would have gotten a different gun if i knew it would have this much problems and i recommend you avoid this one as ots performance is closer to a 40$ aeg rather than a 160$ aeg i really wished snow wolf would have tested these better before selling

"Shoots hard but lacks consistency/robustness

PROS:
-Shoots 380 FPS w/ 0.25 (my CQB field allows it)
-BBs travel far and are fairly accurate
-GREAT weight to it, perfect for CQB
-Looks amazing
-Comes with a nice lil grip

CONS:
-Construction. The bottom rail arrived loose on mine, and the uppermost region of my top rail came off after attaching a flashlight. (Loses big points for this)

-Trigger. Feels like a water gun. Great in full auto, but trying to spam in semi feels wonky.

-Lacks consistency in rate of fire. When spamming rounds in semi, the first 3 rounds will fire in quick succession, but the 4th will be very weak and will fall FAR short of its mark.

***Mags. This isn't a con, moreso a thing to be aware of. AUG mags have a tendency not to feed well in my opinion (dry fire). I recommend a drum mag (Angel Custom BLOK 2000 rounds ($67.50 when I got it) ***

TLDR- Worth it for the price, grab a drum mag.

Cheap construction due to my rail arriving loose and another rail piece breaking off with the attaching of a flashlight.
