"Decent pistol out of the box.

Looks: It's a pretty gun, while still retaining combat or duty type looks without having flashy parts that look like they belong better in a gangsta movie. It's not a showpiece, but near it compared to other airsoft combat handguns. The replica is closer in coloring than it's counterpart and has the correct serial number markings from Staccato, instead of having a counterpart logo in it's serial marking above the trigger. Two differences lookswise from the real steel are the exposed outer barrel and the American flag placement being an 1/8 of an inch too low. You'd have a hard time distinguishing the two otherwise. Very good job considering a real Staccato is a $3000 gun and looks it. It's airsoft counterpart loses to AA here.

Reliability: I recently received both the C2 and P models. Both broke their slide stops around the 200 round mark. These are not steel and both broke at the point where the screw holds the outer portion onto the rod holding the barrel assembly in place. They were drilled out and replaced by a thicker grade 8 screw, the replacement this way is delicate work that requires skill to perform. If you mess one up, you're buying a replacement part. It's a nessasary part that means the gun will be utterly inoperable without it. Fixed and about 2000 BB's later per gun, no jams, loose parts, finish worn down on internal parts, no gas leaks from magazines, etc. With that T8 system factory installed, these guns should last quite a long time.

Function: Very smooth slide, still snappy but without recoiling hard and bouncing the slide back further than it should travel. This is an airsoft pistol clearly meant to be fired fast and accurately, not just kick the crap of you for enjoyment. It's trigger is factory set at a pull weight of around 3 lbs and travels a very short 1/16 of an inch before letting go. The stippled grip was not something I thought I'd like due to realism, but it allows a very good retention and won't tear up your hands without gloves the way a real one can. The RMR plate accepted both the Trijicon pattern and Leupold pattern sight types without problems or mods. Unlike the competor's, both came with a flared mag well, but the C2 grip is a 1/4 inch shorter than a P and had to be removed to better fit my larger hand and within tactical gear. Gas efficiency is decent with a mag and half fired and will perform a mag dump without significant cool down and loss of FPS. It's overall size fits inside the footprint of a G19, with the exception of the length of the grip, which allows your pinky to still be on it, unlike the 19 if you have bigger hands. The P fits within a G17, but with a 1/4 shorter grip and no removal of the mag well. A P's magazine will fit in a C2 grip, but a C2 magazine won't in a P grip due to its shorter length. Golden Eagle HI-CAPA mags fit and function well.

Pros:

Cost. You're getting a better pistol for cheaper than the competing brand, both in looks and in features. The T8 upgrades are around $70 just for the individual parts alone. Flared magwells are included as well as the factory included CNC machined slide. I'd fully expect this to be in the $220 MSRP range.

Accuracy and speed: The gun appears purpose built for this and just that. This is an easy gun to empty it's magazine on, but still hit your targets. OOTB, my more expensive guns can't match the performance levels without more expensive upgrades.

Looks: Rivals the real steel gun. Unless you know what you're looking for, these are hard to tell apart from the real steel.

Cons.

That slide catch/release. Glad I could fix them using time and skill. Still appears that AA needs QC work or more likely, a different one piece design.

Stipped grip can be a con or pro. The more realistic grip tape replacement version is available but more than 1/3rd the cost of this gun. On the flip side, it's a very nice factory grip for feel and retention.

Overall: A gem for it's money. Worth the trouble, just all around the clearer choice for its cost, looks, accuracy and reliability.

"Fantastic gun, works like a charm, only complaint is that the innerbarrel extends past the outer, so if you plan on removing the orange tip, get something to protect that

"I’m gonna give this 3 stars because I only have 1 major complaint. The fact that the specifications say the barrel is threaded but when I took the orange tip off there is no thread whatsoever there just the barrel and the inner black barrel sticking out but no thread, very disappointed since I have a tracer unit ready for it. I’d reach out to get a refund or send it back but that’s just too much of a process just wish the product was listed right or they gave me the right one.

"I mean it’s okay, bought it out of the Houston Outpost store, barrel was loose and the mag it came with was not taking the preferred amount of gas. Even when it did, it expelled all gas in a full mag after about 5-6 shots. I recommend you go to your local store and test it out there. Don’t let this reveiw base your opinion on throw gun, it’s solid. But, for me it had some problems and I am returning it.
