Features Heavy duty stamped aluminum receiver w/ steel dust cover Uses Marui's proprietary Next Generation Recoil Shock system (NGRS) to simulate recoil and muzzle flip Folding steel skeleton stock Lightweight nylon fiber faux wood furniture Convenient, easy to access battery compartment within the gas block The Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock System (NGRS) helps to bridge the realism of a gas blowback rifle with the convenience and performance of an AEG. Utilizing a reciprocating weight, simulated recoil and muzzle flip is generated to simulate an actual cycling bolt.
Unlike Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns of the past, the new Recoil Shock System rifles now feature metal receivers instead of all polymer as well as fully licensed trademarks to add to the realism of these replicas. Combined with Tokyo Marui's high quality internals and stock dependability, these rifles are great to skirmish out of the box or as a base for high performance projects.
While the Tokyo Marui NGRS system has been around for nearly a decade in the Asian market, their availability has been limited/restricted due to licensing and importation issues; however through Evike.com and partners, the tried and true NGRS system rifles are now finally going to be readily available state-side.

" The AK74u NGRS I think is more of a status symbol than anything given its price point. One of the main issues with it out of the box is that you have to replace the motor due to unreasonable amounts of motor heat that I experienced after firing around 1-2 and a half mags with a matrix 7.4 lipo with 1500 mah and 20c.
(note: the motor spring which is around the motor tip must be taken from the stock motor since more enclosed motor springs won't fit in the motor cage)
Other than this if you're buying it because of its quality, go ahead, since the quality is definitely there, no gear lock or any other issues at all after abusing it in full auto.
The only issue about it if you're looking for realism is that the NGRS, unfortunately, doesn't have a charging handle requirement during reloading, unlike the MP5 NGRS, meaning that like a normal AEG, all you have to do is mag swap.
If you're planning to buy this for recoil, get a BOLT instead, but be prepared to upgrade it.
