ZCI 8mm Ver.2 Complete Gearbox w/ Microswitch & QD Spring Change (Wiring: Rear / Small Tamiya)

"I've had this gearbox, along with a ZCI motor, for about 6 months now, and my god is it sweet. I put it into a Gen 2 Lancer, as the stock gearbox wasn't doing it for me anymore. It came shooting around 390-420- fps, but I have put an m85 spring in it for CQB and it works just fine. It had a thinner selector switch plate than the original gearbox so I have had 1 or 2 instances where it doesn't switch back to safe/fire, but that is a very minor nuisance. Overall, I highly recommend this gearbox, it has a very nice trigger, has good seals, and I have never had any mechanical problems with it.

"I've been using this for a year now and have zero complaints. I'm sure there are better options out there and as someone who does not know a lot about the actual mechanics and fine-tuning involved this does its job.
Trigger is very responsive and have not had any issues.

"Just got this gearbox, came shimmed and aoe corrected. Haven’t tested it out in my gun yet but based off first impressions would highly recommend. Only problem is that it came silver colored with black accents which is not the same as the white/red gearbox pictured. However I would still highly recommend this gearbox!

"A good quality gearbox overall with decent airseal; shoots 390-400fps on .20g bbs. However, removing 1 star because the gearbox came wired to female deans, and making a male to male adaptor or rewiring the gearbox to a male connector is a nuisance. I also rewired to a dual signal wire mosfet and radiused the gearbox for longevity's sake. The gearbox didn't fit into several cyma and specna arms lowers, but fit into a king arms pdw lower. The bevel gear also meshes well with a d-type pinion.

"When I received this gearbox the package was open or cracked and the gearbox was unresponsive.

I took it apart and the reason it wouldn’t work was because the micro switch wasn’t being pressed when the trigger was pulled. I am still working on fixing it:

Cons:

Doesn’t fix in some gear boxes - Tried to fit it in a A&K receiver and a lancer Gen 2 lonex reciever it didn’t fit In either
