TMC Hot Weather Balaclava w/ Mesh Mouth Protector (Color: OD Green)

"I was actually really excited for this balaclava especially with the pandemic, it seemed like the best of both worlds. It provided a pseudo mask to keep my safe from giving or getting COVID-19 and it protected my teeth. Lo and behold, it does just that. However the mesh is extremely tight on my face, and I'd like to think I have an average to borderline large head, which makes the fit really uncomfortable. Especially when you throw in the Velcro that keeps the mesh inside. Then it's super uncomfortable.

In addition, because it is a tight fit, you can't pull down the mesh part to take a drink of water or anything like that. There's zero flexibility there. That's the real negative. However from a technical stand point it does the job and keeps your teeth safe.

"I love this mask i tend to be lazy with geting my hair cut and this is one of few that keeps my hair outa my eyes and protects your teeth i would recommend picking up a helmet with this as the chin straps kinda help keep it in place the actual mesh shifting is the only issue i exepieced i cant fix myself

"This mask is definitely worth more than it costs but it does have some minor flaws.
Fogging is a issue if you don't mold the mesh to your face and the mesh could use more velcro to stop your breath from escaping onto your eyepro. The velcro itself could have been secured better with a higher temp glue, mine fell off and I had to reheat the glue.
I had to add a small amount of velcro around the sides of the nose piece to stop all fogging pushing onto my eyepro.
The fabric mesh in my opinion is good except the mouth area. This part should have used a lighter fabric mesh for better breathability to prevent fogging.
Some good points with this mask is it sits firmly on your face and is very comfortable for me. Its not too thick and has good light protection from the elements. Breathability is still good and adjustments can be made around the face to breakup your profile.
The mask looks good on the face and blends everything for a low profile look for use with foliage and Boonie hat

"So first off, this is a lot better than your standard mesh mask. You don't have any straps to fiddle with that could end up biting into your skin, and you get a bit of extra face, head, and neck protection on top of that. But, it does leave one area unprotected: the bridge of your nose. IF you're worried about that, I would say just save yourself any trouble and buy the Matrix one here on evike. The only reasons I didn't buy the Matrix and bought this one instead is that the Matrix one costs $20 and this one costs $12, and this one has the mesh behind the fabric, meaning the balaclava covers the mesh (this last one is more of a personal preference thing for me, I think it looks odd to see someone's mouth moving behind mesh). This definitely isn't a bad product, but if I could do it over again I would purchase the Matrix mesh balaclava.
