"Solid build quality and a great first gun if you want to modify it. Needs a new fuse or mosfet if you're running 11.1v lipo or else the fuse will likely blow. Gate Titan is drop-in, but I suggest you thread the mounting screw hole with one of the trigger board screws as it makes it easier to drop in. MAXX and Speed triggers drop in without any additional work. The 2.5 gearbox helps as it makes the gun indoor and outdoors viable with the adjustable fps. Currently, my MOD 2 shoots at 30 rps at 350 fps with new gears motor in addition to the mods listed above. With a little fine-tuning on your end, you too are able to shred on the field any day of the week.

"Ight so it's a pretty good gun, the information is all accurate about the gun. Has a fairly high rate of fire but it seems to hold more rounds than what's listed.
The mag is kind of loose in the mag well, but that seems intentional as there a couple mm of gap. I wish the hop up had more range, but over all to teir gun.

"For reference: I'm an Infantry Vet. I will break anything that isn't well made and detest it the whole time I'm breaking it. Right out of the box, the externals of this QRF have that high quality, attention to detail, real steel, right color, right finish, right feel in the hands type of appearance and tactile quality. The quick-change and adjustable spring innovation is well thought out, and well executed. It's easy to access and change out the spring, taking only minutes without the need to disassemble most of the rear end of the gun. Or, even less time to simply turn the spring guide adjustment with a tool to fine tune FPS. The brilliance of the gearbox design incorporates many things we 'builders' have hoped a company would do, such as putting a notch in the bottom of the gearbox to allow the ambi selector shaft to remain intact when removing the gearbox. The internal parts themselves are simple and robust, as has always been the case with KWA; there was good air seal and performance out of the stock gun without the need to buy it a new wardrobe. However, if you feel that overkill is underrated (I do) and want to upgrade, the gearbox is completely V2 compatible with the exception of the proprietary nozzle, but fortunately it's an excellent nozzle with an o-ring and good seal. I replaced the barrel, Hop Up bucking, the type 0 cylinder to a type 1, the piston and head, and an SHS high torque motor. Cylinder head was sorboed and I re-wired with a Gate AAB mosfet, which fit fine in the battery compartment along with a Matrix 1400mah 11.1v brick lipo mentioned in the product page video by the lovely Matt. The KWA Mod 1 mags feed perfectly and keep up with the resulting high rate of fire of this build. With the stock spring, mine is shooting 1.35 joules, a very respectable FPS for such a short and maneuverable gun. With the stock hop up, a modify soft flat bucking and a 10 1/2" custom 6.03 barrel (stock barrel is about 9" long- I added a small barrel extension), I'm easily hitting the gong at 125 feet. The bolt hold back function to access the rotary style hop works well and is cleanly released by the 'bolt release' button. The sliding buttstock adjustment is solid and smooth, although it takes a moment to get used to the unique design of the release mechanism. The m-lock rail is good looking and solid and feels good in the hand. My only meh on this gun would be the grip. The forward tilting modern pistol grip design of the QRF feels good ergonomically and looks sexy, but doesn't allow wires to be easily fed through the rear hole, the preferred route for mosfet-built guns. The motor is pressed up against the back of the grip and is in the way. I solved this by running both wires through the front hole, which is difficult but worked. All in all, this is one of my new favorites. It's good looking, feels good ergonomically, took so easily to modification I know it will be completely dependable on the field, and best of all, fits under your pillow. If you're itching to fill that PDW niche, get one. Good job on this one, KWA.

"This gun is a beast. Very accurate at range or in cqc. Stock trigger is very nice for semi & the adjustable FPS is a great feature! :D Hope it lasts. I've put maybe 5k bbs through it so far.

"First off...SHES A BEAST!!!!! ZERO REGRETS getting this over the krytac trident. Trigger response is very snappy and feels oh so good. I ditched the iron sights for a red/green dot, but don't really feel like you need to have a optic on it. With a little hop up adjustment you can smash 125ft all day. Right out the box she was ripping hot tho, 360-370 fps. Not a big deal tho. The adjustable fps is probably the best feature on the market right now. Do yourself a favor and get 10 mags. I only got 7 and feel like 3 more would be perfect. After the springs get a little stretched you can fit 90-100 bbs. Oh, a MUST HAVE is the battery tube extension. With it the 11.1 lipo fits just fine. I woulda went for the krytac if I hadn't got to use my buddy's kwa(t6). Only thing the t6 has on the qrf...the m4 mags. All in all monster of a gun, great price, and it'll hang with 400fps and hpa guys all day. #KWABRIGADE

"I got this in the 2020 DadPack and it has quickly replaced all my other weapons. I had a few. Now I run the QRF Mod1 and the KWA GBB MP7. I am really impressed with the quality of this model. I mostly play outdoors and post up in mud or a snowbank, being an AEG there's little to no difference in performance between warm and cold weather. Great for beginners, or people that have been playing for years.

"Best Aeg I have used!
I'm new to airsoft and this was my first decent gun, but I have shot other peoples and the quality of this gun is far superior to others. The trigger response felt close to my friend's arp 9 and this gun doesn't have a MOSFET. The gun did shoot too hot even with the spring backed out all the way, at 358 fps. If you have a chrono at home I recommend testing it out before having to drop 20 dollars for a last-minute spring cut.
Pros:
Sturdy
Snappy Trigger
Extremely accurate with .25s
Looks much better in person (evikes photo has weird lighting makes the gun look yellow idk why)
Motor Grip and handguard are very nice to hold.
Cons:
Fps was too high for cqb, not as advertised. (probably just mine)
The motor is a tight fit (hard to reinstall)
Battery space (can barely fit 11.1v 1000 Mah stick type)
Motor grips screws inside strip VERY easily. Pain in the ass to take out.
Over all amazing gun I highly recommend it. If you are on the fence, You won't regret getting it!

"this airsoft gun was reliable, strong, and high fps.
the only thing i don't like is how short the barrel is but you could add a suppressor like I did.
The gun is all metal witch feels like a real gun.
nice iron sights very usable unlike some iron sights. overall very good gun would recommend.

"Awesome little gun! I turned the FPS up to play outdoors and have no problem reaching out and hitting people plus the compact design allows me to sneak through the brush easily with out getting snagged on branches. Only drawback is the 80 round mag. Please kwa make a box mag or some 120 round mags available. All in all tho I would highly recommend this gun and am very happy with my purchase.

"I accidentally ran over my airsoft bag, with this in its box on top, and all it did was mush one plastic mlok piece. This gun is built like a brick fucking shithouse, and is one of the snappiest guns I have ever used. My friend has a gate titan in his AK and my QRF's trigger and full auto ROF come VERY close. Obviously you cant edit your trigger and rof and shit like a gate titan system can but yeah, this thing is worth every penny. You should run a smaller lipo in it, but if you really need to, you can use a 9.6. The back cap wont fit on, so just push the stock into its smallest position to keep your battery in place and your in business. It's a little pricey for a first time buyer, but if you looking to step your game up, this gun is where it's at.

"I've had this amazing gun for a little over a month and its by far the best gun I've ever had. perfect size and I love how its fully metal. its kind of annoying that it only takes 80 round mags but its mostly because its brand new. all around an amazing gun!

"This gun is great! Using Elite Force .25 BBs it’s very accurate.
Pros- I am left handed and the ambidextrous safety and hop up lock are really easy to adjust this way. The charging handle is also ambidextrous.
To let you know: I upgraded the bucking in the gun, also make sure you use .25 bbs. An 11.1 volt battery also works best in it, matter of factly you are supposed to in this model. With an upgraded bucking and .25 BBs you can hit a player about 200 feet away.
The trigger response is off the chart awesome!
The gun is very accurate on top of it.
It comes in a CQB length and is still about as accurate as a $300 m4, which is impressive.
The internals are very nice and nothing has ever broken.
The FPS is about 330 consistently with .20 and an upgraded bucking. With .25 around 300 consistently. Good CQB and medium range FPS. For those who think it’s low it wouldn’t matter too much because it’s already accurate enough to compensate.
Externally it is extremely durable because of the high quality metal it is made out of. It is heavy because of his which could be a con for some people.
Fast ROF
The red flash hider is very flashy and stylish, it is my favorite part of the gun cosmetically.
Cons- the fuse is easy to blow so I put an a 25 amp fuse instead of the 20 it came with. If you do the same as me only do it so you don’t have to worry about it blowing in battle. Don’t shoot so fast that you hurt the internals!
The gun runs terrible with .20 BBs, not a big deal because it’s supposed to use .25.
Even though the hop up is very good I highly recommend an o ring. The hop is easy to adjust and can move on itself if you are running. It’s not a big deal and o rings are not very expensive.
Overall, very nice gun and I highly recommend it for CQB and medium range.

"My QRF mod 1 is mostly stock, no upgrades or changes other than the spring and a buffer tube extention for more battery space. When I got my QRF it was shooting at 375 with the variable FPS system on its lowest setting,
and 405 at its highest. My Indoor fields limit is 330, but because the variable FPS system is so quick and easy to use I figured out how to change the spring out in less than 5 minutes. The trigger response is on point. Even without a Gate Titan it still feels like the snappiest trigger on the field, aswell as having a pretty high ROF. Fire select snaps right I to place and doesnt move in the heat of battle (I have had other M4 platforms easily bumped into full auto on accident). This gun is built like a tank. It does have some weight to it to be so small but it's part of the build quality rather than usless weight for the sake of realism. I have an 11.1 lipo that fits in to the pdw style stock no problem, but I do have an extention for the battery compartment just in case I need it. The magazines do only hold about 80 bbs but this surprisingly doesnt go as fast as you would think on semi auto. With the hop up correctly adjusted 100 feet is no problem. And it can lift heavy weight bbs with ease. This gun is all around amazing.
