LCT Airsoft AIMS Wooden Lower Handguard for AKM Series Airsoft Rifles

My experience is different from Andrew C's.

I purchased for a CYMA CM040B so this review reflects my experience for that system only. The build is to replicate the Meridian Defense Lust rifle.

Fit out of the box was nearly perfect. The only modding needed was about 20 seconds of sanding to one corner for it to fit the front of the handguard into the handguard retainer. I always assume AK parts will be fiddly and require modification, so this was a pleasant surprise.

I also purchased the Matrix railed gas block - this handguard will work with that part but I was only able to use only one of the gas block mounting brackets. (the rear bracket)
A Dremel would be needed to remove some of the wood inside the handguard to use both mount brackets. This said, the gas tube with one bracket is sturdy enough for my use. (weapon mounted light and red dot)

All in all, a nice looking, solid piece in my opinion.

"I've gotten this same part from a different store that has a mega selection as well.. and out of the box it will NOT work with cyma AKs. At the time i figure it wouldnt but i love the look so i figured id find a way to make it work. Well about an hour and a half of sanding and fitting i got a perfect snug fit. It looks fantastic and its not going anywhere either. I recommend putting some sort of sealent on it as its semi prone to scratch. If you have an lct this should fit great and if you have a cyma (or other tokyo mauri clones) just keep in mind it takes a good amount of work to get it to fit.
