"I got this gun in a mystery box.
I'm very pleased with it. No upgrades to it and it has a decent rps and fps. I use .30s in it and I get really great range with it. I plan to upgrade the interal barrel and hop up and this thing will be like a sniper with accuracy and range.
The ebb stopped working after a few games but I don't even notice it and the gun still works fine.
Slower trigger response then a lot of guns but that can be fixed I'm sure.
The gun itself feels really sturdy and tons of battery space for any battery you can think of in the stock. The hand gaurd is polymer and feels kind of cheap but I got over that really quick and don't notice anymore.

"just got this gun and tested during a game i love it and the sound of the bolt moving turns heads. it shoots about 370- 390 with .25 gram bb. i run it with a firestorm 1500 round drum mag and it is stupid fun.

"This gun was on sale for 305 instead of 340 so i decided to take a bite, I bit and I will share my first impressions, then I will come back and leave another review after 6 months, then another 6 months and so on, or until after it breaks, though I hope it works for the long run.
First impressions:
- When I opened the box I liked what i saw, except for the orange tip. (but thats law). It comes with the rifle, a hi cap magazine, a carry handle, but no steel flash hider.
(Either it doesn't come with one or SOMETHING happened when Evike received their products, because this always happens, my lct g3 did not come with a steel flash hider but it said it was supposed to come with one. My guess is that they are removed from the packaging to be sold separately, this is not to say that it is because of Evike or any of it's employees, only that it always and only happens when I order from Evike... which breeds questions. Anyway, time to purchase the flash hider I already bought with my AEG.)
Back to the rifle,
- It's not as heavy as the G3 which bummed me out because i expected steel again. (which it has, but very little). I wish it was just a little heavier. But it didn't bother me the next day and especially after comparing it to my cyma m14. The m14 is heavier but they feel so close its hard to tell the difference. Good for an M16.
-The upper and metal receiver were hard to tell that they were made of good metal, I thought it was polymer.
-The polymer makes the gun look less expensive and it takes up a lot of the gun so just a heads up.
-The butt plate/pad is plastic too and I wish it wasn't.
-The trap door is almost impossible to open, there's nothing for your nail or finger tips to grip onto.
-EBB isn't like the hard hitting ones on their RPK, but its still a cool feature, I didn't want it but I read the other guys review that his stopped working so.
-My dust cover does not open when I pull the charging handle back, I figured that's why it was on sale. But i can open it manually, it's no big deal. I'll take that since it's 40 bucks off. also it doesn't affect the ebb function for those of you wondering, the ebb still works perfectly.
-Steel parts are on important parts of the rifle, like the outer barrel, which goes all along the inside of the handguard, The front fixed iron sight (it feels nice and sturdy),The front sling hoop, rear is fixed in place but still feels sturdy. Trigger, selector switch, rear iron sight and turning knobs for adjustments seem to be made of steel.
As far as internals go, what it has doesn't bother me. But you can upgrade if you like, these guns seem really good for that stuff.
Final thoughts:
-When I picked it up I had high hopes, but they were crushed by my expectations and because I compared it to my LCT G3. (But thats $100 difference).
However, when I woke up the next morning with a fresh head, the weight problem was gone, the polymer wasn't bothering me, and i decided the trapdoor is endurable, it won't kill me. This gun reminds me of the default primary in combat arms and of how bad I've always wanted an m16.The gun grew on me and now I want to buy the other variants, It grew on me for good reasons like how the quality is really good despite the plastic and how the weight is good for those of you, like me, who want to carry it around all day, and aside from it not being as heavy as the G3, it still outclassed any of the other AEGs I've had and that's good enough for me to want to keep this in my arsenal
