"Managed to get Russian Green and it Looks awesome. Shoots around 420 FPS on .2s out of the box and can hop .32s on max setting. Disassembly is similar to a TM L96 with a few differences. Stock internal parts are too off-spec to be compatible, but with modification it is possible to install.

"you buy it for the looks, its an sv98 body with an L96 bolt so there are plenty of parts for upgrades. if you do not like the sv98 body dont pay the premium just by an L96. when buying an airsoft sniper for 200 or less expect to buy upgrade parts. the Tokyo Marui bolt upgrade to 500 fps is a $50 product and you are good to go.

"Bolt broke. Do not cycle fast because it is made of thin aluminum. It did shoot pretty good tho.

"This is a full review from my experience with the riffle :
I purchased this off of a guest account back on first release. the price vs. quality was somewhat worth the price, however after running about 200 or so rounds through it the bolt had gave out and it sheared off, which was impressive given the fact the rod connecting the back end of the bolt safety assembly was about an inch and a quarter in diameter. it was a clean break too which suggests the bolt suffers from micro fractures after minimal use. my bolt was maintained until that point using gun cleaner from DnL and lubricant from here on evike.
the plastic stock version of this product also tends to buckle and loosen around the areas the barrel sits on it, it doesn't lead to any major issues using the gun but if you care about keeping a pristine and well-maintained look for your collectables it may be hard to achieve such a feat with that issue present in the current models.
other than that, appropriate attachments fit well and certain parts for other riffles of this category fit well such as carry handles and sight rings.
for a first time purchase it's a worthwhile gun, however for someone invested in the sport I would avoid any rough conditions or field use, and primarily get this brand of SV-98 if you are looking more for a conversation piece than anything else.
(I would also like to know if anyone knows where I can get a new bolt for this without having to purchase an entirely new gun, I have a friend interested in trying airsoft and he wants to use a sniper and figured if such a part exists, I could gift it to him as a starter gun once I am able to fix it)

"I bought the Russian green version a few weeks after it first came out via an older account of mine. I think it is a very good piece for collection and use. however today I was lubricating the blot, and when I machined it backwards it broke CLEAN off the weapon. we looked at it under the magnifying glass in our workshop and came to the conclusion that the bolts safety mechanism caused stress cracks that led to the overall failure of the guns bolt. all though my face hurts I'm more upset about losing such a cool and unique take on the Russian SV-98. Also, to note, I've only used this gun in a few matches as sniping is not my preferred expertise. I highly recommend buying this to collect, however if you are going to be using it for your primary, I would consider buying a new bolt assembly to upgrade the stock parts if not getting a different model of bolt action all together. Once I fix this and order replacement parts i will update this with recommendations for those of you who may want to buy this piece.

"Set up horrible! 3 screws to attach… only 2 fit! Had to pound top into bottom to seat properly! 😔

"Sexy but meh.
Ok so it looks really good, but unfortunately thats kind of where the fun stops. Out of the box the thing can barley hop .32s on max setting! Also, for some odd reason 2/5 bbs curve sharply to the right after 70 ish ft. Now let's get to the range...this thing (with .32s) can barely get to 125 ft at max hop up. With .25s it can reach 170 ish ft but... you still have the inconsistent sharp right curve.
BUT HERES THE SAVING GRACE.
Despite it being pretty meh out of the box, you can use L96 parts on this rifle so it shouldn't be too hard to upgrade (more like fix).
OR MAYBE I JUST GOT A DUD!
Cons:
Inconsistent shooting
Can barley reach 125 ft
bbs curve sharply
A little heafty (can be a pro)
Needs immediate upgrades out of the box
Pros:
Upgradable (fixable) with L96 parts
Bolt pull is butter
Looks pretty good
