The FAMAS is a bullpup style assault rifle that came into service with the French military in the late 1970's to early 1980's. Like all other bullpup rifles, the characteristic of moving the action of the weapon behind the trigger group enabled the weapon to field a relatively long barrel while retaining a relatively small overall weapon profile.
The FAMAS has been featured in numerous movies, tv shows, anime, and video games such as Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six; but arguably the most memorable would be Metal Gear Solid in which the FAMAS was used by the Genome Soldiers as well as Solid Snake himself.
The Cybergun licensed FAMAS AEG features various improvements over the original Tokyo Marui FAMAS. This FAMAS uses an upgraded Tokyo Marui spec version 1 metal gearbox with enhanced durability and performance while retaining standard Tokyo Marui parts compatibility. The built in folding metal bipod is sturdy and offers a stable shooting platform for the user. Just like its real-life counterpart, the longer barrel offers improved performance and accuracy over rifles with shorter barrels.

" I am very happy with what i received. It feels like a quality AEG and has several different iron sight options. For a high cap mag its not terrible like an M4 high cap mag. Ive always been a big fan of the famas since i started playing counter strike. I like how much of the gun is metal. Highly recommend especially if you are a fan of bullpups.
" Big improvement over the first one I bought way back when. Tho I am wondering why cybergun shows a button to decock the spring when no such thing exists.
" So I bought this gun secondhand for $25 and oh my lord that was the best $25 I've spent in my life and that $25 single-handedly got me into airsoft. For being what looks like a years old this gun just works and it works really good. For starters's its accurate like really accurate, compared to my friend's much more expensive guns and this is plenty competitive and even more accurate than some of his stuff. After about 3 months of play every weekend, the gearbox kinda started to die but you can get a newer one off ebay for like $30 so not bad at all.
