"The best Airsoft Gun I have ever owned. Only thing I have replaced is the inner barrel and bucking.

"This is probably the best AEG VFC makes. The best USGI-style M4 you can buy for the money. Only downside is it doesn't come with a Deans connector, and we don't get the cool Colt M4A1 trades!
It's a super solid M4A1 with a KAC RIS quad rail; this is the older type of rail you see on early Mk. 18 Mod 0 builds, with the adjustment screw in the front. An M4A1 would usually have a KAC RAS with the screw in the back. It has a SOPMOD stock with provisions to carry a butterfly battery and no QD socket. The Avalon trades are a bit ugly; it's a shame that VFC can't use their Colt trades from their Mk. 18 on this model, as it would absolutely be the best clone M4 on the market if it had them. I wish they would at least use a smaller / more discreet trademark that was less huge and obvious.
The bolt locks back for hop up adjustment. Has a pretty decent rotary hop, but you can get some more aggressive hop on 0.32s with a Maple Leaf bucking. Otherwise the Avalon gearbox works extremely well and this replica has a much better motor than the MCX or Mk. 18. Shoots 395 almost exactly. Our group has several of these AEGs and they work flawlessly. They seem to feed with most magazines, although they struggle with EPM1s (like most AEGs.)
The price went up a year or two ago along with most of VFC's lineup, but I feel it's super worth it for the money regardless. They need basically zero work out of the box and work very well.

"Love it! Very sturdy, very accurate. Pretty decent range right out of the box!
Only con is no sling swivel up front! Easy fix however just buy one separately and install if you're planning on running a 2 point sling!

"Controls need a little breaking into but other than that, this is a fantastic gun. Great internals, great build, good weight, this thing feels quality. If you have the money, I highly recommend this gun.

"Externally the quality is good and that's what I wanted, along with decent OOTB performance. The gearbox is pretty good.
I received one that is rear wired to deans. The handguard has a bit of wobble, and so does the stock. Using some shims, I can probably get it handguard tightened. The front sight, with a small amount of force, can be moved a few millimeters as well. The rest is well built.
It's a lightweight gun for being full metal. I imagined it being closer to my real M4, but there is noticeable difference in weight and balance.
Bolt catch is cool and adds some realism for an AEG. The inner barrel is truly short and only reaches the gas block. This is because the barrel can be detached at the gas block for a more CQB friendly build. The flash hider and the barrel extension are nearly impossible to remove. I've tried submerging the flash hider in boiling water for 20 minutes to no avail. I have also tried a heat gun with no success. The mag has a TON of wobble in the mag well. I haven't tried other mags yet. Tape may be the saving grace.
Aside from my complaints, the rifle is well built and very detailed. The gearbox is well constructed as well. The deans wiring threw me off because all of my batteries are Tamiya. I preferred to have deans wiring, BUT it wasn't advertised as such, so now I need to purchase a deans connector or a new battery.
All in all, it's a great replica if you want externals that will last a long time with plenty of detail. Otherwise you're probably better off not buying it.
I'm torn between giving this 3 or 4 stars for the review.

"The description says 300 rd magazine?? I got my rifle yesterday 1/21/2021 and can only load about 120 bbs??? So what’s the deal there?? Other than that, this rifle kicks ass and is bad ass for an AEG.
