"installed it over a year ago and still shootin stong. stock gearbox cracked and a new gearbox shell cost almost as much as this. shoots great, good price, and hasnt broken anything internally.
only problems i had were that i had to use the wiring from the old gearbox due to battery placement (not the gearboxs fualt) and sometimes the selector lever gets messed up and randomly refuses to shoot when trigger is pulled (which the old gearbox and my other AK also does randomly)

"Idk if it's just the one I purchased, but mine doesn't have a safe mode on it. I plugged my batteries to it and moved the fire selector back and forth and all it has is either full auto or semi.

"I bought this gearbox to finish putting back together an AK that was all externals I bought off a friend. It works well, very solid gearbox.
The only downside of this gearbox is it is configured for rear wiring which because of that I had to buy a new battery to fit the stock but other than that it's a good purchase if you want a complete package and don't intend to upgrade for a while.

"I bought this as a replacement for a Dboys RK-03. Jammed, screwed up the internals, we took apart and put it back together, and it was never the same... by that I mean it fired about 10 feet on a good day.
Honestly, I was impressed with the quality/price ration here. Installation took less than five minutes. FPS was decent, somewhere around the 370-380 range with .2's (though I haven't chrono'd, so I can't be sure, but shoots out to about 80 feet accurate, 120 foot hits in short bursts). Build quality isn't bad at all, though the motor is a bit ugly sounding even when aligned correctly. However the gearbox itself sounds just fine, runs smoothly, great ROF with a 9.6 1600 battery.
Overall, for 60 dollars, this is a steal. If your AK is dead, and you need a quick fix, this will work just fine as a temporary, or for low end guns permanent solution. Though, I wouldn't suggest you buy this and assume you have some uber gun, because for 60 dollars you get what you pay for... it's good but it sure isn't a KWA or a Systema. It works, and for the price works very well, and that's all I ask of it.
