" Setup:
-Stock SRS aeg brass inner barrel cut down to 309mm and cut to accept the Autobot bucking
-Silverback 110 newton spring
-W.A.S.P. piston with spiked airbrake and medium weight
-70 degree Autobot bucking (that came with the hopup unit)
-Matrix .4g bbs (actually very good, especially for the price)
I'm getting perfect/ 100 percent airseal with this setup, although I imagine that'd be the same with most or any other inner barrel given that the air seal is likely due to the LAST hopup. It easily overhops the .4s for any hop setting past the third "notch" on the wheel.
Although I haven't been able to chrono my SRS yet with this setup, I'm able to very reliably hit a man-sized target from 330 feet, with the bb taking about 3 seconds to hit. I tested this on multiple different days, with moderate to no wind, without changing anything in my setup, and the results were consistent. This was with the hopup wheel set to between the second and third "notch" on the wheel.
This hopup has performed amazingly so far, and I only have a couple complaints about it;
-The hopup didn't come with any instructions. This normally wouldn't be too much of a problem, but you need to pay extra attention when installing the nub (fyi: the nub is cnc aluminum and is great!), making sure that the thin and flat part is facing towards the front of the hopup.
-Sometimes bbs can roll out the back of the hopup if you angle the SRS to the side or vertically/ up when you're down to the last few bbs in the feed tube. Not really much of a problem, and easy to avoid, but just something to note.
-The LAST hopup doesn't have the small o-ring in the back of the unit that others, like the Fast hop, do. It's not really a problem since it already has perfect air seal, but it did cause a little bit of friction for a bit before everything settled.
-The wheel can be pretty tough to adjust without something - like a small hex key or some other small tool - to push the notches on the wheel, although that also means it's extremely unlikely to lose its hop position on its own.
Overall, this is a great hopup, and I'd certainly recommend it to anyone. The Autobot bucking was definitely a huge improvement, and the hopup unit itself is very solid and reliable, and looks quite nice!
