Drymax fibers are a scientific breakthrough to keep feet dry. The laws of physics dictate: no single fiber technology attracts and repels moisture at the same time. Therefor Oakley socks with Drymax utilize two different fiber technologies interwoven to form inner and outer layers.
At the molecular level, moisture won't stick to the inner layer of Drymax fibers because they are super hydrophobic (moisture repelling / non-wicking).
This unique property allows Drymax fibers to mechanically lift sweat off the skin like a squeegee and instantly transfer it to the sock's moisture attracting outer layer. The dual layer design creates a moisture removal system capable of keeping the skin dry and the feet comfortable.
