CYMA Standard VSS Vintorez Airsoft AEG Rifle (Color: Black)

"I got this as my second gun, and cannot say enough good things about it, only one bad thing though, if you’ve been reading the reviews you will know. We need an aftermarket tip for this gun, as the orange tip is ugly and needs to die.

"Gun is great. Other reviewers opinions match mine. The orange tip is the only gripe I have. I used acetone to remove the orange paint and it sadly removed the black paint from the barrel but not the iron sight. I plan on using Plasti Dip to refinish the tip black.

however this thing really shines as a DMR as it boasts some great accuracy with .20g bbs at the outdoor field I frequent and has some pretty good range too, just ask the team mate I headshot from halfway across the field by accident.

My only gripe is that it's loud, which is kinda funny considering what its modeled after, still quieter than the real thing though.

"Great gun right out the box. My first CYMA gun and they blew me away. Mine shot 375 with .25 bb. My only gripe was the orange tip it is an eyesore.

"Excellent gun for the money.
I recently ordered this on the black friday deals and I wasn't expecting a great gun out of the box. However, I was pleasantly blown away by it's performance. As a stock gun, it performs like a $300 gun. The internals are absolutely solid. Very accurate and as a bonus, has plenty of battery space located in the stock.
As of writing this review, high-caps are the only mags available, which is a bummer. They do, however, feed great and fit well with no wobble!
An SVD style scope will also fit will ease.
Alternative magazines will not fit in this gun. It takes special mages specifically made from CYMA.

I installed a 6.03mm MadBull tight bore barrel along with a Prometheus bucking and got some amazing results!
It shoots incredibly more accurate and by using a 7.4v lipo, it has a pretty trigger response.

The only problem I found with this is that the sling loop is very small and hard to find a hook to fit in it, and the metal on the gun is a bit on the cheap side, which allows for tons of scratches.

In conclusion, this is a great bang for your buck if your a fan of Russian style guns and the AS VAL variants.

"CYMA is known for building its ak's like rocks. They may not be the best guns on the field but will last years. But with this VSS it has sort of changed. It seems the VSS has sacrificed externals for internals. For starters the body looks and feels great but it made from a cheap pot metal and some parts are very fragile. I had a Ak optic side mount (yes those work on a VSS) and the gun fell leaning against my desk and broke a mount off. luckily there is a lot of the little mounts so it still will work on it. Secondly the stock doesn't feel like super high quality polymer. it doesn't feel bad but could be better. The internals on the other hand are excellent. Taking apart the gearbox, it was properly shimmed had fairly decent air compression and a metal bearing spring guide. it shoots around 400fps has a range of about 250ft but accurate to about 150-200ft with .28g bbs. it shoots about 16 rounds a second on a 9.6 v battery and had a great trigger response.

Over all I would say if your looking for a VSS to complete your Russian loadout but don't want to dish out an extra $80 on a LCT then this is for you. Its a great gun if you look past its cons and treat it nicely. And not to mention with that extra $80 you can buy a PSO-1 scope for the full affect. "Bought this as my 2nd airsoft AEG. This thing is super solid and well built. However if you want to push this VSS to its full potential you won't be able to. Unfortunately most of the internals including the hopup and other parts are proprietary and there are no replacements or upgrades available on the market. If you are looking to upgrade not the AEG for you. Beyond this, literally no complaints. Everything on the gun works flawlessly and it has some of the best range for an entry level gun. As far as scope mounts go, the only one that works is Steel Precision AK / SVD Type Tactical Scope Mount Base. All others do not work and I discovered this the hard way and wasted money. The only damages that happened to the gun is that the fire selector requires a lot of messing with whenever I want to put the gun on full auto. The fire selector has to be propped perfectly inbetween what should be full auto and the safety settings, otherwise it fires in semi. Other than that I highly recomend this gun for new airsofters, just know you won't be able to upgrade it.

"Great quality heavier then I expected. The fps is little higher then stated mine is at 420fps. Would recommend 9.6 for snaper shots. Only downside is there's no mid cap for it out yet there all high caps. Besides that Its definitely worth buying
