EMG 90 Round Mid-Cap Magazine for EMG Angstadt Arms SCW-9 Airsoft AEG Rifles

"Like other have said, the build quality is lacking (these are $7 each overseas, on sites like TaiwanGun). I ordered two extras for now, just until I can get some of the G&G 68rd fccm midcaps, but one of the extras came broken out of the box (theres a long bolt bolt that goes through the baseplate and into a nut that's retained in the interior mag shell; the plastic that holds that nut in place was broken on mine, but I just used an old soldering iron and a little bit of extra petg filament to melt around the nut, which has held up well so far.)

I'm using these in an scw-9 with a polarstar F2, and the mags themselves feed perfectly at 40 rps with .2s, no jams or anything. However, the split hopup design led to feeding issues out of the box, so I had to use a conical dremel attachment on the bottom of the plastic feed tube of the hopup unit itself/top half to kind of chamfer the interior.

Also, to make seating the mags easier/ put less wear on the mags' bb stoppers, I sanded down the bottom rear part of the metal feed tube/ lower half of the hopup setup to bevel it out and make it smoother.

Lastly, I just used and old airsoft cleaning rod with the slot end, put some fine (like 1200 grit) through the slot and put the end of the cleaning rod (easier if you cut it to the length of a normal drill bit) into an electric drill and ran it on max speed through the metal part of the feed tube a couple times to polish it.

After doing those quick mods, it feeds perfectly, and if I end up not liking the fccm midcaps, I'll probably just get more of these.

"Got this part of the EMG SCW-9 Security Detail Package and it feeds well. Unfortunately, there isn't a quicker way to load these kinds of magazines. You have to put in BBs one by one and the spring nub is stiff, so you need either a thick hex screwdriver or use a speed loader to fill the rest.
