"Just got the Carbine 400fps version w/ GATE ASTER today and it shoots like a beast. I got a stubby foregrip* and put it on with it to my liking. Its a great starter rifle if you want to spend the money. With the GATE ASTER it took a little longer because they had to drop it in at the warehouse but other than that its solid.
Pros:
Chronoed at 25fps (11.1v battery)
Tight grouping on burst of five at 50ft (15.24m)
sleek design
(Fun to shoot with a tracer)
Cons:
the irons are meh but you probably wont really be using them
Price ($436.08) but with the gate aster and other internals it was a great investment

"Great starter rifle if you will spend the money.
I’ve used airsoft in the training environment for years ( easier and cheaper to outfit instructors with airsoft and students with simunitions or utm)
Decided to get back into the game recently and went to the Houston outpost for advice. This was the instock choice ( I had an event coming up so had to be in stock).
It takes just about any aeg m4 mags though if your looking to maximize capacity in a midcap for milsim where hi caps aren’t allowed the 220 rd cyma mags ( 16 bucks with the laser engraving on Evike) work great though you do lose the last 2-3 bbs
In use I can get consistent hits up to 200 feet and fps is steady. Tried several brands of spring and there IS a difference so find a set that works for you as I was seeing up to 40 fps in the “same” rating of spring (m130) between brands.
I have about 40k bbs through it and it’s still shooting great, it also allows me to shoot about 200bbs a day in the back yard ( 250 feet ) for skill retention as I built it to simulate the rifle I use real world .
Lastly , the stock fits titan 6000 batteries ( the triple chuck type) without issue.

"Solid first gun and is extremally modular to fit different playstyles

"I got this replica in a BOA 2 years ago and have used it as my primary ever since. I dropped a m120 into it to get it up to my local field limit of 1.4j almost day one, as it is mostly outdoor field. It didn't slow it down even slightly. I've ran an 11.1v lipo the entire time and have never once had an issue. I had never even taken the upper off the lower until a few days ago to tighten the fire selector screw which other than changing the spring (which is super easy and took 3mins) is the only thing I've done to it. It's approaching six figures of shots fired with no complaints, with most of that being full auto. Although it's had a fair amount of semi abuse as well, with its mosfet it's never semi locked once. I would highly recommend this gun however a Trident MK2 will out range it, even with the M120, which leads me to my biggest problem with it. The hop up leaves much to be desired. and with .25's it runs out of hop adjustment before over hopping the bbs, which leads me to believe it's under hopping them. Although it is stupid consistent out of the box, so no complaints from the accuracy department. For close end engagements this will run circles around Krytacs but if you try to play them at distance good luck. I only compare it to krytacs because my squad runs them almost exclusively (six different ones) and it's in the same price bracket as them.

"This was my first ever gun that I had purchased, and my god! This thing is amazing! I had bought the long barrel one, and this things shoots extremely far. Best M4 AEG Rifle ever.

"10/10 will buy again. This is a very good package, I bought it a couple months ago and have been playing with it since and it hasn’t failed. The batteries last forever and the mags are high quality and everything in this package is worth it. Also this gun is really good for beginners because you’re getting everything you need to play just in this package.

"Immaculate AEG
Got this gun back in April and this AEG is the perfect fit for me. So far I've upgraded the hop up chamber and bucking. Man this thing is a blast to use on the field. I heard the micro-switch is prone to breaking really quick so if you plan on buying this AEG definitely considering on saving up for a new mosfet. Mine hasn't gave out yet but very excited when it does to upgrade it :D

"Had my first issue with the gun. Put a lavaithan v2.1 in it and had grease collect on the switch. Cleaned the grease off of the switch gun was running awesome. Turned to full auto and turned the rof up to 100%. The cylinder head rubber pad had actually dislodged and came back sideways in the cylinder. Then had a jam and the steel teeth kicked right out the back of the piston. Recommend using a rubber glue on the cylinder head pad so this does not happen to you. Evike recommend the 15 tooth shs piston to replace the old one. Hope this doesn't happen to any one else. This is really a.solid little rifle for the price and easily upgraded.

"This plus a lavaithan is tip top minus having to swap out the piston head gasket.. pretty sweet out of the box. If you swap the gears for 16:1 for out door play and drop in the MOSFET you'll be extremely happy. Also was able to install a max hop and maple bucking. The hop took some grinding to fit the adjustment wheel. Have had no issues whit yet.

"Initially, I had purchased the M4 rifle, but switched variants to the Carbine version under Evike Warranty.
-The rifle version of the platform feels slightly more centered and accurate with the bb's fired using the iron sights.
-The carbine version has a tendency to shoot towards the upper left side at least for the one I received. I think the difference is the length of the inner barrel. (380mm vs 363mm)
I know that down the line, there is a good chance I will need to replace the ETU. I also know that the air seal could be tighter. I've fired 2 kg worth of .28 Gram BB's out of the gun (Like 10,000 rounds). No internal Issues/malfunctions so far.
Pros:
-Wired to Deans
-Can handle/ store a Titan 11.1v Li-ion battery easily
-Amazing out of the box performance
-No need to touch the gearbox
-Good trigger response
-Does not have a whiney AEG sound
Not Good or Bad:
This gun will require a few future upgrades, but not tons. The most important upgrade is a upgraded MOSFET. A lot of other owners have told me to also upgrade the piston/ air seal. I'd like to replace the barrel. The hop up is ok, but I would replace it with something better. The iron sights are mediocre, and I will probably add an optic instead. If I want to play CQB, I will need to switch the spring because I purchased the 400 FPS version. The SPR 350 version is probably ready to play on most airsoft fields, right out of the box.
Downsides:
-The stock wobbles slightly, but not enough to be actually annoying.
- The handguard can crack near the pin/ lower receiver
- Part of the plastic on my Deans plug was slightly worn down on one of the edges (the red part), and needed a protective coat added.
I would only recommend this gun to someone if they are willing to learn how to upgrade internals or pay for a gun tech.
This is probably the best choice for someone who is looking to revisit airsoft as a hobby. It's a great gun that will be very upgradable. I was being very nitpicky for a lot of my criticisms. The best part about it to me, is that the upgrades are not immediate requirements to enjoy the platform. 9.5/10
Still deserves a 5/5

"Works great as a first gun, would recommend this to any beginner.
One issue I did have with it was the MOSFET failing after about 500 Shots, Easily Replaceable.
The battery also has some trouble getting in the stock but its not that hard to make space for it.
The Semi Auto is easy to use and can be fired quite rapidly even with a 7v Battery.
I plan to upgrade to an 11v but it works fine as is.
0.28g BBs work great in here, If you want a bit more accuracy I'd recommend using 0.30g
Also plan on getting extra mags, the one that comes with it is great however its a bit inconsistent in how much it can hold sometimes spitting BBs out without any power if you overload the mag too much.
There is a hole on the stock that can be used for slings and a one point sling works super well with this gun.

"Very good performing AEG... until the ETU unalives. I personally intend on putting a polarstar jack in mine when the ETU dies. Very good overall, just expect to need some teching down the line.

"BEST GUN ON THE MARKET FOR THE PRICE!!!
This gun is amazing and has no cons! the mosfet is fine so far and the microswitch problem was fixed on the later versions of these models. The fire rate is crazy fast and the gun makes a really nice firing sound instead of your average beginner AEG which makes a loud electronic wind noise. I Got the go package on sale for about $345 and this gun is the best gun you can get for that price. If you gave someone this gun and they tested it out, I bet they would think that it is a $500+ gun because the quality is crazy good. Also the guns works amazing with 11.1v 10c batteries which is what I use. Also the fps will allow you to hit targets 300ft+ very accurate gun and I would use. 25g or .28g bbs for even more accuracy.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! BUY IT!!!

"To start off this is a great rifle right out of the box it will compete with most guns out there. But I did have a problem with mine after 2 games my MOSFET broke. so I put in a Leviathan and some other upgrades like a new barrel and hop up and that stuff. but here are the pros and cons of it right out of the box and after my upgrades now keep in mind I have had this gun now for 8 months and only played 2 times with it out of the box.
OUT OF BOX
-pros
-the fps is 350 (if you get the 350 version)
-you can hit a guy for up to like 90 feet (outdoor with .28s)
- this is a very competitive gun out of the box
-trigger response is great.
-is a very sturdy build and does not feel like it will just break if dropped.
-the rate of fire is great.
-cons
-the MOSFET does not work
-the gun could have better range.
Now that's it right out of the box now here it is with the upgrades.
UPGRADED
-pros
-the fps is now 360 with just some cleaning
-I can change my rate of fire
-I can easily hit a guy up to 200 feet away outside with .28 or .32
-my trigger response is that of myth.
-I never I have to readjust my hop up for it never changes it always stays the same
-I know when there is a problem because of the Levithan which has a blue tooth and connects to my phone.
-cons
NONE
S as a whole this is a great gun, to begin with, but after some time and money, this gun is something of myth I would heavily recommend this gun to you even with the MOSFET not being that good. So buy this gun now you will have no regrets.
