GHK Colt Licensed M4A1 SOPMOD Block 2 Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle w/ EMG Daniel Defense RISII Rail by Cybergun (Length: 10.3" Mk18 MOD.1)

"Stock this airsoft gun is fantastic. When I received it i lubed up the gun and went to my local airsoft store to test the fps. It was shooting .2g green gas pretty hot(475fps).
Each mag i could get easy 2-3 bb refills on semi. Full auto mag and a halve.
The guts are all metal except the guts in the bolt.

My major gripe Is the hop up access is difficult. Have to take off bottom of rail to adjust.
also the stock buffer wears down over time

I highly recommend looking into bolt and buffer upgrades if you want to tinker with cycle speed ,fps, and recoil. With upgrades it will get expensive. If you do it will effect gas efficiency depending on bolt and buffer weight.

Finding upgrades and making sure they are in stock is difficult.

This is my first airsoft gun since 2007 and I am very happy with it. Been through at least 2000 rounds in my yard and it has been good so far.

"Best airsoft purchase I've ever made (and potentially the best purchase of anything in recent years).
Like so many others, I found myself on the infamous fence between a GHK m4 and the TM mws system. I'm certain that either would have been a great choice but in the end, the added realism of the GHK platform won me over. I've been away from airsoft as a whole for the past four years. I got away from it largely because there's virtually no airsoft community in my area of Michigan AND dealing with the inner workings of my aeg's was more like my days of rc car racing than any kind of milsim. Enter GBBRs. All I can say is "unbelievable". The satisfaction of a brisk recoil, the realistic number of rounds and the superb simplicity of the field stripping makes maintenance nearly as much fun as shooting. As mentioned by so many others, probably the only truly wonky bit of the mk18 is the stock but even that is negligible and you forget about its slop once you start firing. No BS, I'm hitting 50 cent sized targets 75% of the time at 50'+ with the stock inner barrel and no adjustment to the hop up whatsoever. At 100', it's a piece of cake to hit a 7" diameter target with a simple red dot sight with zero magnification. The gas efficiency is far better than I would have imagined. We're talking almost no discernable loss of performance in 35° weather (that's about 3° celsius, far lower than the recommended operating temp). Beyond the questionably sub-par stock, my only real concern with this little beasty are the mags. They're solid as a rock and super efficient but the 40 round capacity is a stretch, at best. Maybe it's because the 3 I bought are so new, they are just tight but so far the most I can get into them is maybe 26 rounds. When I bought it 3 weeks ago, I could barely get 12 in them so I'm hopeful that as I continue to use it, they will break in to the point of full or at least nearly full capacity. Almost 2500 rounds later in just a few weeks, the platform as a whole is just starting to truly break in and that, to me anyway, is a sign of true quality. I LOVE such tight tolerances. I highly recommend this rifle to anyone who is looking for realism, moderately few headaches and out of the box excellence.

"Perfect replica. I wanted an airsoft rifle for force-on-force training that would replicate my real rifle in every possible way. An AEG wouldn’t cut it because I wanted the trigger to be as responsive as the trigger in my real rifle, breaking the shot immediately, not a few milliseconds later after activating a gearbox. That meant basically any GBBR. What impressed me about the GHK version is that everything is... well, perfect. On the outside of the rifle, it is indistinguishable from a real rifle. Grab a magnet, and it is still indistinguishable. Every part of the rifle that is supposed to be steel is steel, including the barrel and bolt carrier group. Now break the rifle down. This is where GHK stands above all competition. It is still indistinguishable except on very close inspection. The trigger group looks like a real trigger group. The BCG looks real. It all feels real. It acts real.

The only things that are noticeable, on extremely close inspection, are that the bolt face is actually a hidden nozzle, there is a brass barrel inside the outer barrel, the bolt catch sticks slightly further into the mag well, and there is a small hammer that strikes the gas valve attached to the hammer. I am completely blown away. Functionally, the only thing that this rifle doesn’t do that my real rifle does is to eject the round in the chamber if I drop the magazine and pull back the charging handle. Considering that this is a limitation of airsoft and not of this particular design, I’m willing to overlook that.

The function of the rifle is flawless. I haven’t had a chance to hit a chronograph or out many rounds through it, but I will try to update this review after I have.

If you’re looking for the ultimate in realism and showroom quality, this is the rifle (or at least the brand) for you.

The only negatives so far:
The stock is loose and feels cheap. I’m replacing it with a Magpul CTR anyway, but it should be noted that this stock is garbage.
The flashhider is glued on, so after breaking it loose, you have to scrape hardened super glue out of the threads before you can attach a different muzzle device.
The fit and finish is phenomenal, but that means that you’ll need a punch to get the pins out. Don’t punch them further than they’re supposed to go because they are captive.
This rifle’s attention to detail and realism may make you feel inferior and undeserving of its awesomeness. Right away, you’ll start looking at throwing a working PEQ 15 on it, and there’s no end to that rabbit hole. I recommend throwing a coat of camo paint on it right away to show it who’s boss.

"One word: Immaculate

I purchased the RIS II FSP version myself because I can't get over how good the FSP looks.
This gun is absolutely amazing. GHK really outdone themselves with this new release. It is the closest thing that you will and can get to the RS M4A1 RIS II FSP. She is beyond gorgeous, almost the true weight to the RS, and it just feels so goddamn good in hands. I cannot stress that enough. I had the chance to compare this beautiful gun side by side with a RS RIS II FSP and the resemblance is uncanny. The Colt trades look great and feel great, definitely a from me. Almost everything is mil-spec (buffer tube, receiver, barrel, handguard etc..) AEG threaded receiver, however. (Normal on a GHK)

Here are some good new features from this release:
- Has a new Hop Up system, V6 hammer, and tight bolt lock.
- Bolt carrier spring is German made, flexible but tough and also higher gas efficiency.
- The heavy thicker outer barrel is on par that of a RS barrel. GHK got that correct with the RIS II version. Produced in a way that is almost true to the RS.
- Nitriding manganese phosphate procedure that covered the receiver and handguard to heavily reduced the amount of scratches and more resilient to rusting.
- Everything else, GHK's top quality.

Pros:
- Up to date GHK's spec and quality.
- Truly a solid gun, as expected from GHK.
- Feels really nice in hands.
- Worth every pennies.
- Shoots great on .25-.28 BBs, was able to get to hit a man-sized target around 100 feet. Potentially more with an upgraded barrel and bucking.
- Recoil feels superb.
- No wobble, it's a pretty tight gun.
- Safety switch clicks in place, satisfying clicks.
- Bolt lock and bolt release feel genuine and satisfying.
- Magazine has great gas efficiency. You can run 2-3 mags on full gas in single before running out. You can run 1.5 mags on full gas on full auto before running out. Might vary depend on how much you fill it.
- Stock feels high quality. I purchased a real Daniel Defense stock and replaced it.
- A2 pistol grip feels nice to grip. I also replaced this with a real Daniel Defense pistol grip.
- Many aftermarket parts for upgrades if you want to improve on the stylizing and performance.

Cons: (these are just minor issues that I have personally)
- The coloring of the handguard on this...is just a tab bit lighter. On the RS DD rail, it is relatively darker. You really can't tell the difference far away or even close up, but if you really pay attention and compare it side by side with a RS DD handguard, it's not the same bronze/brown coloring.
- There is a rumor that this new GHK's receiver is "smaller" and that you can't replace with a real steel trigger. However, it's just a rumor and I don't know why you would want to stick a RS trigger in here. Reason I said this is because it might be off spec, but so far, everything fits nicely like they're supposed to. (Don't do the trigger thing, though)

Verdict: Buy It.
I don't know why you wouldn't want to own this as it is such a good replica of the RS RIS II FSP. It's just such a sexy gun and overall, GHK did a swell job on this beautiful rifle.

"Product (M4a1 sopmod block 2 black) is great. Feels nice. But there were some issues first time opening it straight out of the box. First thing I notice was the Daniel Defense hand rail system was really loose and rattling. Took it to a local Evike shop, and had them look into it (i mean why not right, it was still covered under warranty).

Issues:
Daniel Defence rails was loose and other internal rattling sound. Rails can be easily fix by tightening them.
Took off the rails and front barrel was loose but still tight enough to not notice it. Cause of the rattling sound.

After all issues above was resolved (fixed free of charge), other troubleshoot was checked off and no other issues, rails was tight, front barrel no longer loose. But I was missing a screw now for the daniel defence rails. 1 screw was easily replaced.

Shoots well enough to my liking, chrono around 390-400 fps with green gas. The recoil kick is great for out of the box and kicks harder compare to some other gbbr. Other than that, no other issues.

The materials on the product (like how does it feel. EXTERNAL parts): It feels close enough to the real thing. Like if it didn't have a orange tip, I may had mistaken it for the real thing.

Just know that GHK has QC issues on products from 2019 - 2020 I think. If your warranty does expire for this product, be ready to shove out so more money for maintenance (if needed) and replaceable parts. Other than that, the product works well.

I purchased this product while it was on sale, and it arrived to me in the conditions above. Hopefully not all Evike's on sale product comes with some sort defect/issue. Maybe, I was just unfortunate and got was a bad egg in the bunch who knows.

Besides all the issue(s) above, I am fairly satisfied with the product and the customer support.

"The gun is very nice, I’m just a bit sad someone put a couple round though it, when I pulled of the box there was metal shavings in the bolt carrier due to no lube when fired/test fired.

"Just received the GHK Mk18 Mod1 and it is surprisingly lighter than I had expected. There are many videos on YouTube regarding its performance, so I won't comment on that. The gas magazine is extremely light and everything that should be steel is.

That said, I am a bit disappointed with certain parts. The stock is very cheap and the removable of the two storage caps reveal a hollow stock that does not even have tubes inside for storage. The lower receiver on mine has a casting imperfection near one of the takedown pins, but it still passed QC? I suspect if there is any stress, that will be the area that cracks first. Inside the upper receiver also has casting imperfections and it is apparent that air got into the mold as the "top" area the charging handle glides on has rough dimpling. The chamber also has machine marks on it that were not buffed out being that many would not notice it at a glance. Additionally the upper and lower receiver pins are a pain to remove and secure as they do not line up the two parts easily. I had to remove mine with a punch and reassemble with a mallet. I ended up using a Dremel to widen the holes.

The package comes only with the rifle and a magazine. The flash hider is plastic (metal one not included); there is no speed loader; no cleaning/unjamming rod. It seems the ones from Asia have better accessories. These are my gripes with it so far. The product is not cheap - at all. A better job should have been done during QC.
