Action Army T11 Airsoft Bolt Action Sniper Rifle (Model: Pistol Length)

6 Customer Reviews

by David H. on 10/12/2024
"I own 6 Airsoft snipers:
ASG T-11
Silverback TAC-41
Novritch SSG A3
EMG Barrett Fieldcraft
Striker Amoeba
TM VSR One

This review is based on non-field use - My use is primarily backyard plinking and pest control. Straight out of the box with no scope the T11 first shot took out a backyard pest at close range (10m). It has been my go-to rifle of choice when competing with my shooting buddies and has never failed me. Like all rifles after a few 1000 shots it will need maintenance but I have nothing bad to say about the construction of the internals. It has always impressed with its performance and although I dont shoot in an airsoft field I will say this is one of the most accurate airsoft snipers I own. I can hit a dime at 18m easily.
I have since added a Hen Li Hai trigger, Maple Leaf Tactical Chassis w/Folding Stock and a Action Army hopup chamber with RAPAX 2.8 spring, which greatly increased the FPS to 450 with .36 BBs - FAR above the range for field use but like I said we plink and use it for pest control. Yeah, it looks like a completely different rifle after changing the stock but keep in mind my review is based on the rifle in its stock form - Although I put some money into this rife, I highly recommend this one for beginners. It performs well out of the box and allows for future upgrades. This was my 2nd rifle purchase and if you take a look at my list of rifles above, that is the order of favorite to least favorite. I favor this over the TAC-41 only because of the weight difference. After tuning all my rifles its still consistently more accurate than my Novritsch, Fieldcraft, and Striker. My VSR-One shouldn't even be on this list lol. As you can read from this review, there a lots of aftermarket parts that add longevity and customization. A+, Action Army!

"I wrote a review back in March prior to upgrades. The only upgrades I did was the barrel (upgraded to Action Army 6.01) and spring (upgraded to Action Army M150, could have chosen a M170, but wasn’t necessary since I’m mostly involved in mid-range shoot outs in thicker woods.)
My first post I made mention of having problems with the bolt; this was solved when I took the gun apart, I found that tiny shavings were inside the cylinder and causing the release/lock to be affected. No problems after cleaning it up!
-All internals were metal! Including the spring guide and piston (metal piston but not the after market Action Army piston, but still good).
-Stock spring is probably M130.
After upgrades listed prior, and using .40 G&G BBs, I have it set up where I am hitting a milk jug at 60 yards, and a Target at 70yards. It can shoot farther, but the terrain I play on, the engagements don’t really happen past that. It is very consistent, and hold its air seal well.
I highly recommend this product.
It shoots currently at 392FPSw/.40gram BBs.

"I am brand new to airsoft. I played a lot of woods-ball paintball back in the day, and wanted to get into airsoft, so I bought the T11 long version because it was affordable and heard it did NOT need upgrades out of the box. I played 1 larger wooded terrain event and 1 smaller wooded-almost CQB style field, so my analysis is going to be limited:
I love the look and feel of the gun. I sighted it in with .28G&G and consistently hitting a milk jug at 150ft, BUT much further and my BBs were dropping, and adding more hop-up made them very inaccurate….so with that said, maybe heavier BBs may be the solution?? I did purchase upgrades so I won’t be able to further review the gun in stock form after this. The bolt after a while would not always catch and BBs would roll out (this may be user error though being that it’s possible I was pulling the bolt back at too much of an angle to the left…I found that if I just barely clear the safety switch while cocking back and forth I don’t have the issue anymore…so again it could be user error, or I just happen to crank it too hard at an angle one time and messed something up…who knows, and if any knows how to fix the problem I created, helpful tips would be nice.)
Overall I really like the gun, and have really enjoyed airsoft so far. I would still enjoy the gun in stock form, but I had the opportunity to purchase some upgrades, so I did, but yes it is good out the box.

"I got this gun used and was skeptical at first but it's now my favorite rifle. Very easy to setup and adjust mid-game. Shoots very well with .28 bbs and the few times I used .20 it was just fine too. Only problem I've ever had was in extreme cold the bucking would occasionally stop a bb, but that's to be expected.

"Great base for a futuristic looking VSR that won't break the bank. The trigger unit is probably the weakest part of the rifle with stop made of aluminum. Fortunately Evike sells a replacement that i would highly recommend you pick up. The cylinder and cooking handle are both excellent quality along with the bull outer barrel. The hopup unit is a lot nicer than most stock VSR hopups but I would recommend look to install a TDC mod to get the lost out of it. You may need to Teflon tape wrap your cylinder head as mine had poor compression out of the box only showing around 320 fps on .20s.

Overall you are getting a good deal of value in this VSR especially with the bull outer barrel, cylinder, rail, and hopup.

"Great sniper right out of the box. It shoots about 400 fps with .20g BBs and can hop .43s stock, albeit at the max hop setting. This is a no brainer for $220 if you want to start sniping.
