ICS M4 / M16 / PCR97 Series AEG Hop Up Unit

"Only fits in ICS guns, overall it's better then the plastic version. Tricky to assemble but worth the time..

"This hop-up is supposed to be good in general for such highly price ICS guns but:

1) It is very hard to assemble for a beginner.
2) It is made of very fragile material which is plastic! It is not even hardened plastic or hardened polyethylene. It is so fragile that inspite of handling it with care I have broken 3 of them.
3) The spring nub that holds spring on the forward section of hop-up breaks off easily.
4) The hop-up is propietary to ICS guns only and, in general, cannot be used on other airsoft guns.

NOTE: Vise versa-You cannot use other manufacturer's hop-ups on ICS guns.

Design/Material/Marketing Notable of ICS:

1. Material-wise: ICS should stop using plastic for its hop-ups. All other good hop-up manufacturers have opted for metallic hop-ups. I suppose ICS is making money from the plastic ones as they do break easily.

2. Marketing-wise: Also, the metal version is not being sold openly in the US market unlike in the UK. Again probably they make money out of the plastic hop-ups.

3. Design-wise: I have tried installing metallic version and it is just satisfactory in performance. Nothing great about it. The ICS hop-up design gives a feel that you have very limited hop-up features to assure you of a good hop-up performance.

Hey ICS please work on improving your stuff. ICS guns are all looks but internally they need improvement.
