"this gun kicks ass right out of the box,we chrono it at about 380. very well constructed, solid, and great feeling, so far i have played 3 games with it and had no problems at all.the only thing that I don't like about it, it takes a custom battery. i have about 10 batterys not one of them will work in this gun. you have to order a custom battery made for this gun.other than that i couldn't be any happier

"I recently bought this rifle and all i can say is that it is an amazing rifle. i pulled it out of the box put on the sights charged up the battery and test fired this think and it was amazing, its really accurate, the hop up is great and i love the full metal design its an all around good rifle. the rate of fire on this rifle is crazy as well i was able to go though a 450 round hi-cap in less than a minute just make sure when you play to take lots of ammo.

"I've had my L85 since Christmas last year. I don't think I'll ever buy a non bullpup gun ever again! I honestly think this is one of the best guns ever made.
This gun isn't for the novice though. It will need custom mods to make it truly great.
Pros:
Huge range. 200 feet easy with .25's
Great accuracy as well.
Great power at around 400 fps.
Maneuverable. The bullpup configuration makes it great when stalking that sniper.
Short overall size. It's the size of an M4 but has the barrel of an M16.
Takes M4 mags.
Sturdy build. I haven't broken it yet and I have a reputation!
Cons:
Needs mods to make it reliable. It likes to eat pistons otherwise.
Heavy. This thing is a monster but it is well worth the range and power!
Top rail isn't RIS compatible. You either need a SUSAT or an Adapter if you want a sight.
No flash hider threads. No silencers for this gun.
Some of the body pins can get loose if you take them out too often. I've lost one.
As for the mods, I'm a novice tech at best and I had absolutely no trouble short stroking the piston, changing the Angle of Engagement and reshimming the gear box. You should always reshim your new gun's gearbox. The mods are the only reason that I didn't give this a 5.
So really if you want an amazing gun and are somewhat competent then this is what you want. Some say that battery changes are difficult but it gets easy with practice. I don't have any trouble.

"The flash hider does not screw on or off. it is held in place by a pin. NOt sure you can get a after market one for it.
I have both the G@G and ICS L-85a2s and I lik ethe ICS one better. It is easier to change the battery, and you can fit a large size battery in the ICS instead of a small one.
It seems a little better put together.
The G@G Susat scope fits on the ICS L-85 nicely.
Just got the ICS, I'll review it more soon.
