"I got it about a week ago shot at least 50 mags and love it. This is a full metal upper and lower frame pistol that feels amazing in hand and to shoot. I recommend lubricating it every 5~10 games.
Pros:
Looks really cool
Nice accuracy within about 50-75ft
Good FPS range
GREAT for first GBB
Looks better than most Airsoft GBB pistols in my opinion
Cons:
Kind of heavy, the lower frame is metal

It is a big heavy due to the full metal construction, feels like a real steel 2011! (This can be a total pro)

"This pistol is heavy than most so if you are looking for something with polymer built on a traditional Airsoft this is not for you. Otherwise, this pistol feels extremely nice and is by far the best looking Airsoft GBB hands down I have ever own.

"I bought this pistol a little under 1 year ago and it has never let me down. It is an extremely realistic Airsoft replica, and the training value is superb when you are looking for trigger weight, blowback kick, and realistic weight.

"Have run nearly 10,000 rounds and have yet to have an issue. Just clean and oil it regularly to keep it singing like a champ. Use a Tapp HPA drum mag.

"When you buy the this, I strongly recommend using a HPA fed drum mag. When using a drum mag in this the accuracy sky rockets and the amount of sustained fire is not to be trifled with. The pistol by itself is superbly accurate up to around 150ft and purrs like a kitten if kept well.

"The DS 5.1 is generally well built, it feels good to shoot, and it's incredibly fun to use.
One of the only exceptions is that the Magazine catch was extremely cheap and broke in half while changing a magazine. Upon inspection the piece broke in half and not only that but there were several manufacturing faults in the part as well. There is also no drop in replacement parts for this unlike the SAI Blue series so you will have to buy a part and file it to fit. I still love the gun but this will make me question further purchases from EMG / Salient unless they have replacement parts.

"I just got mine. I love the pistol. Full auto is fun. But, the mags do have issues. I got the co2 variety and one leaked from the start. Also, the spring clip that locks the butt covers on both mags broke on the fist day. I wish as much precision was put into the mags as they did the gun.

"This gun is a great gun. It shoots accurately, and has a very decent ROF for a pistol.
The mag holds a great amount of BBs (around 34). The only complaint that I have for this gun is the mag itself. I myself got a green gas mag, and the gas leaked out of the mag. I got three mags (one of them came with the gun) and only one of them does not leak gas.
Overall very well made and highly suggested.

"I love it, after 20,000 rounds its good. but the problems I'm having now is the slide is not going back into battery, my select fire no longer works and the trigger doesn't reset sometimes. all in all, in all it ran great.
