"Much better then I had expected. Chrono'd @ 315 with a .25. The motor has some pretty strong magnets in it. The version 3 gear box has a quick change spring guide also. Internally the cylinder is ported which was making the gun air starved for the 510mm inner barrel it has. The cylinder head has a double o-ring which is nice. After putting an m130, non-ported cylinder, new piston o-ring, lonex titan a1 motor, 6.02 tb barrel, and flat hop the gun is super snappy and shooting just over 2j and a perfect dmr.

"A rock solid very well balanced gun. This thing is easy to use, and is very accurate. After a few hundred shots the gun settles in nice at about 330-340 fps with .20s and hits what you point it at.

The 90 round mags feed perfectly on either semi or full auto and feed all but the last two rounds.

Its easy to put a large 8.4 volt batteyr in and the wires, unlike other guns out there.

While it is a long gun it has a nice weight and is perfectly balanced.

This has already become my personal favorite.

The gun doesnt care what happens, it just keeps going all day long.

JG did a great job making their airsoft version of this classic, it seems like it will last as long a the real one did.

"Bought pre-owned from Nashville Airsoft years ago and only worked for one game. However, a good friend of mine was able to not only repair it but upgrade it in almost every way. I have the folding stock version and love it.

"I got mine a few months ago and it is a great replica of the FAL that is compact and your hybrid between an M4 and an AK. feels sturdy, easy to work on and very accurate.

"I got this as a gift for Christmas (shorty barrel & folding stock) and it has given me nothing but problems since day one, firstly, the bucking was bent so badly that it was interfering with the hop up wheel making it very difficult to adjust the hop up, secondly the peq box battery box is a hot pile of garbage, not only is it the size of texas but it the attachment mechanism is garbage, it will fall off at the lightest touch and it is super finicky when reattaching it. My recommendation is unless you are really good at teching on airsoft guns, get the full stock variant it will give you less problems in the future.

"Version purchased: Carbine barrel / full stock

Idk how to feel about this replica...

The overall finish and quality of the parts feels fine, but there is a LOT of slop between the parts. The handguard wobbles around even when fully tightened and the upper/lower receivers have a lot of vertical wobble even when completely assembled. Also, the barrel was tilted like 10 degrees to the left, which caused the pinned-in front sight to also be tilted. To fix the slop issues I had to fill the gaps with epoxy, and to fix the tilted barrel I had to drill a new flat surface on the outer barrel so I could screw in the barrel straight. The roll pin holding in the bolt release is also useless and would just fall out, so I had to replace it with one that was thicker.

I only had two issues in terms of functionality: Firstly that the grooves for the selector were way too shallow and I had to deepen them, because shooting on auto would cause the selector to flip up to semi, and shooting on semi would cause the selector to flip up to safe. Secondly, the MLOK rail is waaaaaaay too close to the outer barrel, and to get any MLOK accessories to fit I had to cut down the screws, otherwise they would contact the outer barrel and not screw all the way.

All that being said, this is the only FAL you can find state-side that doesn't have a terrible gearbox (ARES), proprietary parts (ARES), or terrible design (ARES). This replica uses a standard G3 hopup, a standard V3 gearbox/motor cage with the FAL selector plate, and a little screw-in clip on the gearbox to hold the wires taut at the front of the gearbox (screws into where the selector gear on an AK would go)

The gearbox has a metal air nozzle, and the piston has a full metal rack. There's also a quick change spring guide without a ball bearing, and without a screw that goes on the back to keep the spring guide straight. It also has a JG blue motor. The stock airseal is pretty meh (+-10 fps) even after cleaning/relubing. The cylinder should also be replaced, because for some reason a 400+mm barrel was paired with a 1/2 cylinder. Completely stock, the gun shoots 1.2J (360fps w/ .20g bbs) average.

Miscellaneous: Bolt locks back, there is no EBB, and my Classic Army midcaps fit

Overall 2.5/5, there's absolutely zero reason that a near-300 dollar replica should have so much slop. I honestly wouldn't purchase this unless you are willing to fix any potential slop, and it's either on sale for sub-200 or if you REALLY want a slick-looking FAL that you can upgrade. Not any fault on EVIKE's part, but I'm still kind of shocked that I bought this for 270 dollars and it had so much slop.

P.S. LCT pls make FAL :(

"Mixed feeling on this rifle,
Looks 10/10 it looks great and is an accurate representation of the FAL, however the hand guard was very wobbly and the rails misaligned, the hop up wheel was very hard to turn, and it came with three screws missing. The slide release fell off when I pulled it out of the box, and was missing the pin…it was a little upsetting. I hope maybe the infernal were good but no dice…the semi auto didn’t work and the full auto sent bbs rolling out of the end of the barrel or flying into space… Evike
was wonderfully kind and sent a RMA and I have since returned it. Hopefully they can fix it or send a new not falling apart one!!

"If you’re buying this, it’s because it’s the only FAL on the market (I’m not going to count the $600 proprietary-part wall decoration as a competitor). There is no other reason why you’d want this gun, especially not if you’re looking for quality. I’ve gotten 2 of these so far. The first one was dead on arrival, I returned it and bought a new one, which died after going through a single magazine. Both suffered from the same issue: the gearbox locked up, semi auto stopped working, then the trigger became stiff and clicked loudly, unable to fire in either mode. Then it ceases to function entirely. I’ve seen this happen to people on youtube, and I’ve seen it happen to me two times in a row. It’s clearly a common issue and you need to keep that in mind if you plan on buying this.

Luckily, the gun is incredibly easy to work on; the internals are built with V3 parts and uses a V3 gearbox, with the selector plate being the only proprietary piece. Another reviewer on this page has a much more detailed description. Everything they said is true. It’s very easy to disassemble the gun, with the receiver held by two large and secure screws. The Echo1 tech support YouTube channel has a full video on it. Every FAL made by companies other than King Arms and Ares are the same model; it might just be the quality that differs. However, not everyone has the time or money to fix a gun that’s expected to work brand new. On top of that, the exterior build quality is not what you’d expect for a near-$300 rifle. The handguard wobbles, the pin that holds the bolt release falls out very easily, and the safety is loose.

The one time the gun actually functioned, it was good. The hopup was straight and the rotary dial was stiff. The fire rate was average. When it worked, it was a solid, accurate gun that one could use to play offensively, or use as a DMR. I didn’t test the FPS because it broke down before I could use a chronograph. I simply wouldn’t trust this thing stock on the field. I’d rather use a more boring but consistent gun that works all day than bring an exotic piece that breaks down within an hour in and makes you leave the game.

Conclusion? If you buy this, you’re not buying a gun. You’re buying a project. The only good thing about this gun is the fact that it’s an FAL. I just hope someday a better company gives the FAL the quality replica it deserves :(
