"DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I'm only rating this 5 stars in the hopes it will be put higher on the list of reviews so that more people will see this.

This replica works, yes, but it is grossly overpriced for the quality of the item you are receiving. I urge anyone looking at buying this replica to consider other options. I bought this around 7-8 years ago for $325 and am now baffled to discover they are selling it for $400. This was the first airsoft replica I ever bought, and at the time I was fairly happy with it, but I didn't have any experience with other products to compare it to. I have since purchased and used many other replicas and can confidently say that this one is among the lowest quality, even when compared to replicas a fraction of the cost.

What makes this one so bad? Let's get into it.

Let's start with the internals. This replica doesn't feature a quick change spring gearbox, is wired with small tamiya rather than deans or XT60, and has a small rotary style hop up rather than a larger dial. No built in mosfet either, so running this with a lipo is a bit risky out of the box. I think many of these shortcomings are a consequence of this product being pretty dated in the airsoft space, but if you're going to continue to sell it and charge as much as $400 for it, you could at the very least update it with modern parts.

Then there's the externals, which are even more disappointing. You do get a full metal upper and lower, as well as a decent metal quad rail, but many of the features of this replica are completely lackluster or straight up non functional. The dust cover is held on with a magnet, rather than being locked in place via the charging handle. This means pulling the charging handle doesn't really do anything, and you have to dig your finger nails into the cracks of the door just to pry it open. The magnet on the inside is just an exposed, glued on shiny metal magnet, so leaving the dustcover open is very displeasing, aesthetically.

The faux bolt that hides the hop up is poorly connected to the charging handle, so you have to hold the replica vertically while pulling the charging handle to gain access to the hop up. And the faux bolt doesn't stay locked back like on other replicas, so you have to hold it back with one hand the whole time while you fiddle with the tiny rotary hop up dial, it's truly a terrible experience. This also means that the "bolt release" is completely useless on this replica, as usually it's used to hold the faux bolt back while you adjust the hopup and can be pressed to drop the bolt to hide the hopup when you're finished. Not on this $400 replica. Nope on this one, the bolt release is just a useless paddle that hangs off the side of the gun, not connected to anything and has no purpose. They didn't even put a spring on it so that at least when you press on it, it springs back into position. Nope, it just flops loosely, and will audibly bump against the receiver while you hold the replica.

The charging handle features a spring loaded catch, so that ideally you can't pull it back unless you depress the locking lever. But, like everything else on this replica, it doesn't work, and the charging handle easily slides back without engaging it. The charging handle also seems a little undersized, as it wiggles a lot more than on other replicas I've used. It too wiggles and bumps audibly against the receiver as you use the replica.

I'm personally not a fan of the motor grip with the pre placed finger grooves, and it's made of extremely smooth plastic... it could really benefit from some texture. The crane stock you get out of the box is also pretty poor. As other reviewers have stated, it wobbles a lot more than other replicas, but that's expected at this point.

Many of these may seem like minor nitpicks, which admittedly they kind of are. I would have no problem accepting these shortcomings if this replica was priced much lower, but it costs $400! I have purchased replicas that cost half as much as this one that feature full metal externals, licensed markings, come wired to deans, with a preinstalled trigger mosfet, and functional external details like bolt releases and charging handles. They blow this replica out of the water when it comes to quality, and yet they cost half as much. It doesn't make sense.

If you want an sr25 style of replica, look elsewhere, this one isn't worth the incredibly high price.

"It is an awesome gun out of the box! very accurate I've been using .28 with it once I upgrade the gun it should be shooting 400+. I use it as my second gun beside my SIlverback SRS, get it! YOU WON'T REGRET THE BUY!

"Just got this gun. It seems great so far. But I haven't attached the silencer since I havent figured out a proper way to take off the flash hider. Does anyone know how to properly detach the flash hider from this gun?
