"Not bad, its kinda bigger than I expected but its pretty good.I haven't had any problems with it so I'd say its worth the money.

"I gave this a 5/5 not because this it is indestructible but because it is incredibly durable for $20. Read further for details.
I airsoft year round outdoors in western Washington. The weather in western WA can range from 25 degrees and frozen/snowing, to 50 degrees and pouring rain, to 90 degrees and dusty as hell. This PTT piece survived 9 months in those conditions. And it was only $20.
I crawled through mud, snow, dust gravel and grass. It survived all that. I completely (very briefly) submerged it underwater once when I fell face first in a river. It stopped working about a month after that.
I am not sure what exactly is broken with it but I never had a problem with the button, the cord, the male end of it or the female end. You can wire the cord through MOLLE webbing behind magazine pouches etc without too much effort.
No its not top of the line. Yes there are more durable alternatives out there. No you cant use this underwater. Yes you can get better looking ones. But you cannot beat the price of this product when comparing its durability to others of its price.
I used this product with a Motorola Talkabout.

"OK. Here is my review.
This is the first time that my team and I were able to use these PTT devices at a Op.
We were using them with Bofeng UHF radios.
Construction:
They wires and PTT set are very well made and look and feel like they will hold up for quite some time. The button has a solid feel to it and enough resistance to resist accidentally being depressed by accidental pressure.
The mounting clip worked great. The spring is strong enough to hold it tightly in place. The rubber grips prevented the PTT from sliding from the located that you place it in. It resisted an entire weekend of running, jumping, sliding, and multiple gear removals and truck tosses.
Function:
It worked great with one exception. You have to make sure the connector is solidly plugged into your radio. We had several issue were we had to disconnect and reconnect the PTT from the radio because it came loose ever so slightly. We eventually resolved the issue by changing the position the radio was in to put pressure on the connector. Of course this could also be an issue with the radios connectors.
Once the head set was plugged it never moved and provided a clear connection.
Overall:
I would recommend this to anyone who was in the market for a decent priced PTT option for their Kenwood type radio.

I airsoft in western Washington and I airsoft year round outdoors in both Seattle and Bellingham. The weather in western WA can range from 25 degrees and frozen to 30 degrees and snowing to 50 degrees and pouring down rain to 90 degrees and dusty as hell. This PTT piece survived 9 months in those conditions.

"Got this to go with my Matrix headset, and really like it. Wires connect very tightly, and will not come out during gameplay. The wires are also long enough that you don't have to worry about them not reaching your radio or headset. Overall, for the price, I highly recommend it.

"I had one of these for over 3 years and never had a problem. However, it was the old-style connector and not the military-standard plug, so I had to buy a new one.
Basically, its hit or miss. The first one I had was great, but the second one broke within 2 months of regular use. I did narrow the problem in mine down though... The headphone jack connector's soldering connections are weak, and with very little force, the inside of it will break. The soldering on these is sub-par, but what would you expect for a U94 PTT that costs 25% of a real one?
For the money, they are good, but if you end up going through a couple, might as well just take the hit and get a real one.

"Great product!!! But ive already gone through two of these in the last 2 years beacuse of snow or rain getting inside of it, but thats to be expected since these aren't metal or water resistant.

"This product is iffy. From what I've read these PTT's are prone to malfunction over a short period of time. I skirmished with my Element TCI model and it just shit the bed about 2 weeks after opening the box. This seems to be too common according to the comments, but you might get lucky with yours. I was satisfied with the look though, and the convenience of having the unit attached to the front of my PC. I give it a 3/5, and I'm being generous. I would highly suggest spending the money to get a durable reliable version of this unit.
