"Ordered to use in an old TM AK under-folder. No instructions, but relatively straight forward to install. Minimal fit issues on the TM. Stock screws from the bottom of the receiver were too long to use. I had to get a set of shorter flat head screws, but maybe the part I received was not tapped correctly. A small amount of filing was required to properly line up the screws for the hopup. Overall, a good, simple, but very niche part.

"Awesome, product allowed me to make my one off custom. Don't over turn the hop up placement screws may strip whats there. If you don't have access to a tap, might be a tougher fix. Haven't had any issues. I used old v2 gearbox screws to affix through the four holes, so i didn't have to trim screws. Ones included were quite long. Make sure the screws are flush, or it will block the mag well and your magazine won't be seated on the hopup tube.

"Alright this thing is actually pretty cool if you look past the looks and ignore the realism. I originally got my first one to refine my stubby AK build that was a very crude build but after I got it fitted to my receiver I realized the potential this thing has. This thing is made out of aluminum and gives you the potential to run significantly lighter tactical AKs. I threw an m4 front end on my stubby AK build receiver and it was almost a pound lighter compared to my normal AK with the same length barrel. with this thing it allows you to have the perks of an AK and the weight of an m4 and you can build completely unique guns. There are some problems with this but if you're patient with it, it's pretty solid. The biggest thing is it does NOT FIT stamped steel receivers and only fits TM style milled receivers. If you don't know what you're looking for it can be tricky to find something that fits and its harder nowadays since everyone makes a stamped AK now. The easiest way to tell is if the front end is held together by 4 screws on the bottom rather than a pin and, if the AK has it, a optics rail that's screwed on rather than riveted on. next it is not a bolt on item if you have a side folding receiver. I believe it should work fine with full stock AKs but on mine I had to cut where the side folding latch goes and I had to dremel the receiver to make the hopup line up with the gearbox.
PROS:
Annoys m4 guys and AK purists
people will wonder "WTF were you thinking?!"
can make your gun really stand out and be a conversation piece
can build weird guns with this
can use the advantages from an AK (mag retention, v3 gearbox, folding stock)
can use your ak mags and loadout
CONS:
Annoys m4 guys and AK purists
people will wonder "WTF were you thinking?!"
can make your gun really stand out and be a conversation piece
incompatible with a lot of modern stamped AKs (no LCT, no stamped CYMA AKs, ect)
will most likely need work to fit
rail on top is useless bc it moves up and down easily
it's difficult to find iron sights that work (I mean its not like you're combining 2 totally different rifles together or anything)
Matrix doesn't make an m4 to AK upper receiver that will complement your cursed AK to m4 creation
after all of that I love these things and I can't wait to get my 2nd one to build a cursed VN style M16 front end with a wood stock AK receiver 100/10. (might even get a 3rd one)

"Worked perfect on my CM.028. I just had to grind down the screws a little bit because they were to long. Other than that I was successfully able to make an abomination of an AK-M16. God have mercy on me

"Pros:
I bought this cause i think the gas tube on airsoft ak47's look rather cheap but i like the reliable version 3 gearbox, with this on and a 7" rail is magnificent.
It fit snuggly into a ak47 cyma cm520 with a metal reciever
You get a compact feeling when using the gun now, and i bought a rail seperately. That rail came with a steel tight nut, i installed it and there was a wrench slot so you could screw it down really good
No wobble, nothing
The hopup unit also sits better than ever
I used this with the APS Stubby 5.5" Steel Outer Barrel for M4
Would i recommend this item? Yes, solid piece of high quality alu
It could take a beating when screwed down the rail nut, i used the matrix adapter as a place to hold when screwing on the nut, at the adapters weakest point it wouldnt give but just a tip, first install the adapter into the reciever before istalling the outher barrel just so you have the whole gun to hold on to when installing the nut
Cons: The paint on the threads wore of a bit when screwing down the rail nut, i would recommend using some silicone oil to catch all the debris and wipe it of with a piece of cloth, it took 3 times screwing the nut in and out to really wear it in for a super snug fit but now there are no more paint coming of
See no reason to give it a bad cred for how a seperate rail nut wore of some paint on the threads however

"AWESOME ITEM! Thanks to Team Regulators for introducing this item to me. You can easily build some head-turning custom guns with this. Now my AK have access to a huge variety of front end.

"Very easy install, Only had to modify my AK a Minor Bit. Due to the "Lips" being thicker then the adapter. a Few seconds with a Dremel+Carbide cutter fixed that.
Looks Great. Running a Overly Tactical AK-74 with a KAC 12" FF with 14.5" M4 barrel. USing the stock ak inner barrel, but the Adapter Add's about 2" of length. So if one is looking to DSG a AK, and have there barrel come to just behind the flash hider i would reccoment a 10.5"-11" Outer Barrel. or shorter.
I Enjoy getting that look of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot while Fielding the gun, but people think its a SR-47 till they get on top of it and see the Kalesh reciver.
Some people are AK puriests, some others dont Care. i prefer a custom ak, over an M4 because there NOT seen often, or when they are people dont pull out all the stops...

"Bought this as a front-end mod for my TM AK-47.
Pros:
1. Affordable! All AK AEG owners should by this item. This will open up many options for customizing the front-end of their AEG.
2. Sturdy build, very rigid.
3. Attached a Madbull Gemtech T2 RAS Kit for M4 / M16 (RIS-MB-T2Gemtech), makes my AEG looks awesome.
Cons:
1. Bolt holes are not deep enough. Instead of drilling and tapping the existing bold holes to a longer depth, I decided to buy shorter machine screws from my hardware store.
2. Tokyo Marui uses plastic/polymer bodies on their AEGs, which makes the AEG front heavy. Hopefully the plastic will hold, otherwise I'll be shopping for a metal lower receiver.
Overall, one of the best mod items for AK AEGs. If you're a novice, I recommend a professional installation.

"Over all good part. Opens up so many new possibilities for ak users. The only problem I had is a lot of modification was required. A lot of Dremel work in the reserver and had to grind down the adapter slightly so the hop-up would sit low enough to open the feed lip of the mag. Worth the price but be prepared for the work.

"It may take some work to fasten it correctly. I bought this adapter for my CYMA CM028S AK47S Under-Folding AEG but the screws for the entries above the mag well didnt fit properly. The screws wouldnt sit flush which allowed the adapter to rise and wobble. I tried forcing a screw in and I snapped the screw head off. Aside from that issue, the adpater fits well so far. I havent been able to do much else to it yet. I recommend getting shorter screws.

"used this on my cyma 031 because wanted to put a rail system on it but AK rails are expensive so I found this.
pros
-easy to install
-gives you a very, very unique looking gun no matter what m4 front end you use
-inexpensive for what it does
cons
-rail on top too short for some optics
-need to buy new screws (they stick out into the magwell just a bit wont allow you to insert magazines
Overall its pretty cool and people will ask a lot of questions about your gun
