"Beautiful pistol love the Les Bear trademarks as well as the full metal frame and slide runs great and compatible with Kjw/Asg and Tokyo Marui magazines. Very much worth it.

"This thing is phenomenal, hands down. I bought this because this is essentially a KJW KP07. which is out of stock everywhere in the good ol' US of A. The only real differences are licensed trades and grips, neither of which I care about.
Just picking it up, it feels robust. My only gripe is the grips which are a bit thicker to make up for the relief in the magwell for the C02 cartridge. They're not awful, just a little on the thick side, so I modified some Magpul 1911 grips and now it feels nice and slim, just like a 1911 ought to feel.
The range, velocity, and accuracy are fantastic. It has no problem hitting a torso-sized target from around 100' away.
I'm blown away by the quality and function of this thing. If you're looking for a good 1911 replica, this definitely deserves a look.
Pros:
KJW quality
Accurate
Great velocity
Excellent range
Takes Green Gas/Propane or C02
25rd magazines
Nice recoil
Modestly priced
Cons:
Grips on the thick side, might be an issue for those with smaller hands
Grip screws have a metric head and are a weird size
Loud for an airsoft gun

"Follow up review for some more insight and information.
DO NOTE: I've been using Propane/Green Gas, and recommend you do to.
I've been running this pistol as my secondary for 2 months, using it in about 6 game days so far and it is AMAZING. I run a GBBR primary, so my sidearm comes out often.
I am yet to make any modifications to this gun aside from the hammer spring, which has no effect on performance. Frankly, I don't think I want to change anything.
The first thing I noticed out of the box was how nicely this thing puts shots on target, it shoots lasers, and it can hop some heavy bbs for a pistol. .20s went down range fast, fairly accurate at range but it felt like more could be accomplished. Next I tried .25s and WOW, was I shocked, I was able to consistently hit enemies at 100 ft behind cover, over and over again, with 2-3 shots.
Today I experimented with .28s and a 15 mph north wind all day.
The results were shocking, at 75 ft I was effortlessly sending shots into enemy killholes 6in tall by 12in wide, virtually unphased by the wind.
Pistol performance i've only seen matched TM.
For the best range and accuracy, use .25s.
At an outdoor field, I'm doing pistol only games, without having to change my playstyle.
Get this gun, you need it.

"KJW has always made nice TM clones, their 1911s being one of their most popular.
Pistol is what you expect, a tactical 1911, run of the mill KJW 1911, doesn't disappoint.
Pros:
KJW
TM Clone/Spec/Compatible
everything
Cons:
nothing out of the ordinary
mags have bad efficiency, normal for KJW, it still clears a whole magazine, use TM brand Green Gas mags, CO2 is for babies and is useless BTW
with TM 1911 magazines this thing rocks even completely stock
change hammer spring to a stock TM hammer spring to lighten the wear on the gun, Forge Airsoft TM 1911 Hammer Spring is sold here on evike
overall very nice pistol

"Much better than an Elite Force 1911. For the slight price increase, you get a much higher quality pistol. This thing is solid right out of the box and shoots wonderfully.

"Just got this gun about a week ago. So far it's been perfect for the first 10 mags or so. Shoots straight and fast right out of the box. Light weight and blowback is fun but not heavy enough to take the sights off target. I'm glad I chose this pistol.

"YOO...
Out of the box she solid and well packaged but came really dry.

Loud As Heck
Snappy Trigger
Shoots straight
Very Accurate
Red Nozzle

TM Compatible parts
It's KJW. You're going to get a solid deal, no doubt.
Cons:
Came dry, had to lubricate it.
That's it foo

"Primarily I’ve always been a TM 1911 owner but I really liked the license trade marks about this pistol.
#1 quality and construction is very good they did great job in building this pistol.
#2 shoots outstanding hard kick and very accurate using .25grm BBS
#3 it does come with orange tip that can be removed by pliers easily so you don’t have to buy the Laylax threaded barrel if you don’t want to.
Lastly if you are looking for a really nice 1911 at a great price buy it!!

"This gun is very nice: metal construction, weighty, not very wobbly, pretty accurate out of the box. It is the exact same gun as the KJW KP07 (which is a Tokyo Marui MEU 1911 clone done up in metal) except for the Les Baer logos, meaning it's well-known and there's plenty of aftermarket support. It used to cost $175 and you could say that was a bit expensive, but now that it's $130 (or less) it's a cool option with a bit of added authenticity due to the licensing.
I should point out, it's a TM clone but a TM 1911 magazine I got as a backup doesn't click in as nicely as the included KJW one; you have to wiggle it a bit to make sure it catches. There are no KJW or Socom Gear markings anywhere on the outside of the pistol; all you get is a sticker that says "made in Taiwan" on it. The orange tip on my copy is plastic, not painted on.
5 out of 5. Pew pew.

"This is my third GBB and I can honestly say this has been my favorite one out of the box. The option to run Green Gas and CO2 is always a big plus for me especially since I like to play both CQB and Field games. Physically, this handgun is stunning. The weight realistic and the finish is great. The Slide and Frame engravings are superb and match the Real Steel Les Baer Ultimate Recon exactly. The only small difference between the Airsoft and real Les Baer is that the Airsoft version features an ambidextrous safety, while the real one doesn't. Being a left-handed shooter, I actually found this to be extremely useful, even though the right safety is a bit loose (This is a common problem with most Airsoft GBB Bambi safeties). Performance wise, this Handgun fires straight and true with .25 gram BB's and Green Gas. I can consistently hit a small can from 75ft away on a regular day. All in all, I am greatly pleased with this purchase and cannot recommend it enough. This is my new favorite Handgun.
PROS
- Realism
- Performance
- Badass Look
- Baer Custom Engravings
- Option of CO2 and Green Gas
- Accuracy
- Build Quality
CONS
- Right ambidextrous safety is a little loose
- Orange Tip is painted on the outer barrel.
If you have the money and are considering getting this regardless of what intent and purpose, get it. You will not be disappointed.

"A very nice representation of the Les Baer Recon 1911.. With the exception of the ambi-safety and the rail that dont appear on the actual firearm. However, I will soon easily replace the safety. I do like the rail.
Fit and finish are very good with the finish being a very matt black on what appears to be a bead blasted surface (will see how it holds up with long term use). Front strap checkering is very very good. Sights are the usual 3 dot style that are as good as usually and there are up-grades available.
Hop-up is working just fine with the .23 and .25 bb's that I generally use. Range is good and it hits man sized targets out to 90 feet (with .20's) quite well. Trigger is very good. Generally these pistols which appear to all be made through KJW are quite serviceable. Only my TM M45A1 is better in range and accuracy, but that pistol has been factory re-designed internally. Hopefully KJW can up-grade as well as I prefer full metal 1911's. TM magazines work just fine.
As with all single stack, full metal 1911's, the number of shots from a gas fill is limited. You use these, you get used to it and set up your spare magazines accordingly.
The trades are really nice on this pistol and nothing appears that shouldnt be there. One of the reasons why I bought it.
This is a solid, well made and good performing pistol that deserves your attention....4+ stars

"this is a great gbb pistol but is pretty over priced unless you care about the les baer trademarks. it shoots good has pretty nice recoil but like i said you'll question your self for buying it at this high price and for the price it doesn't really stand out performance wise from 100 $ gbb pistols.
pros:
awesome feel
awesome look
nice weight
manual has part breakdown(good for ordering replacements)
cons:
price
front sight post fell off within 5 mins out of its box
spring on mag does not lock down
overall a great gun but for the price you could get a descent pistol and a extra mag or 2
