"I've used both the distraction type and the sound flash for a while and I can say the sound flash is much more reliable to use than the latter. The size of the sound flash is smaller and is better to use in my opinion because it feels more balanced in the hand than the dumbbell type. The sound flash also fits nicely in most smoke grenade pouches. the walls of the dumbbells feel too thick and tough and don't detonate reliably in my experience even if you score the seams with a blade. I don't have this issue as much with the sound flash shells. They're also a bit cheaper which is just a bonus. Pro tip: cook your thunder B for a second or two before throwing it so enemies don't have a chance to retreat.

"Good shells that work with my setup. I fill them up with BBs because it decreases the total volume and makes sure it blows up. The pictures look a lot cheaper than they do in person, they look very cool in person.
