"Absolutely beautiful body. What more do you expect from G&P quality?
PROS
Beautiful.
It's the Magpul VLTOR (butchered that) body
CONS
I love G&P, but i'm not a fan of the logo on the side of the lower.... to me it just throws off the realism. BUT! That's just me

"This receiver is NICE, it has an excellent paint job (only complaint is its a little bit darker than you standard tan color) The take-down pins are both self retaining. It also has a nice piece of rubber in the rear around the hole for the buffer tube screw that I would assume reduces the vibration against your gearbox, I use an AIM gearbox shell, and this rubber pad kept my gearbox from seating correctly so it was easily removed. The receiver itself has GREAT detail all laser etched, and is very sturdy. This is $100 well spent if you're looking for a metal receiver. 99/100 because of slightly darker color.

"I bought this receiver for my polar star dream rifle build. The receiver body is very sturdy, looks beautiful, and my fusion engine fits snug in it. Once I built it, I noticed the dust cover it came with did not snap back into it's closed position, which I had to fix with some modification. Also the hop-up unit it comes with was very finicky when I tried to put the nub in the hop-up arm, which I had to glue on. But other than that this receiver is great! It is completely compatible with Magpul Prs Stocks, as well as Noveske outer barrels.
Pros:
Looks beautiful
Very Sturdy full metal
Comes with metal hop up unit and some spare receiver parts
Cons:
Dust cover doesn't stay closed without modification
Hop-up nub is hard to put in place

"This is my first G&P brand metal body kit, and I'm impressed. This is a neat design, but I learned the hard way it can be picky with mechbox shells. Lonex mechbox shells will certainly fit inside. It comes complete with most hardware but the included ejection port flap will not close.

"Looks nice but some how it doesn’t fit a normal m4 gearbox, if you buy this you will need to buy a lot of G&g stuff because this only holds g&g don’t recommend it

"First off. I ordered the black version but they sent me the tan. And seeing as how I live in the upper Midwest I really don't have the time or patience to send it back for the correct one. Anyway on to the review.
I'm not going to do pros and cons because in my opinion they don't do any good.
The finish on the receiver is a very high quality and the parts all have good tolerances so there is no wobble once everything is put together. All the pins come pre-installed and are self retaining or whatever you'd call it just like on a real AR.
The gearbox I used was the lonex reinforced gearbox that is available on this website. It does fit but it is a very tight fit and a little bit of grinding was required around the hand guard area.
I used a mad bull barrel and a mad bull noveske hand guard and both fit on the receiver with no modification except for a little electrical tape around the end of the barrel.
I tested the receiver with a high cap pmag, several jg high cap stanag's, and mag brand mid cap stanag's. There is a small amount of wobble on all of them but nothing some electrical tape won't fix.
One thing to note is it is impossible to close the dust cover on this receiver as a part on it is too fat and hits the gearbox.
The reason the product is getting 3 stars is because mine did not come with a bolt release. Fire selector. A mag release. A trigger guard. And a pin to keep the dust cover from sliding off. My friend ordered one about a month before I did and his came with all of those parts that mine did not. Luckily I had all of the above laying around, otherwise I would have been a lot more frustrating.
