"Got one of these puppies from Ares, they still make and sell them but you buy from them or another asian retailer. Thing is decent, though again its ares so results will vary OOTB. The only thing proprietary in the gearbox is the cylinder head and tappet plate. They are the sames ones used in Ares's Tavor and I beleievr RDB, though ton't quote me on the RDB. It's a completely mechanical gearbox so no crappy electronics that you gotta deal with from ares. Two screws and the gearbox slides out, very easy to tech on and shim, super beginner friendly. Lots of battery space, it sets behind the gearbox in the stock, take your pick of battery here. Bipod is nice, stock box mag actually winds when the strigger is pulled, super nice actually, just make sure its on when you go to play there is still and off and on switch. Hop up is simialr to the old A&K m249 hop ups though with a set screw instead of wheel. You are stuck with that hop up here sadly. Decent work arounds for this is either a purple prommy or a silverback mdrx bucking.
The best thing about this replica is the weight, though that does come at a cost of some of it being ploymer instead of steel/sluminum.

"Alright, so first off I have been reading reviews and doing a grip ton of research on M60 Airsoft guns for months.
I weighed options on A&K v. ASG and I was divided. However I luckily had a buddy that got an A&K M60(short version). So in that case I bought the ASG so we could compare and if one was worse than the other we sell the inferior model.
Needless to say the ASG was supperior.
The part I loved the most about it was the quick change spring. I do outdoor big field play along with CQC. The CQC place I go allows SAW's/HMG(whether or not you want to be specific on the M60). So I switch springs every time I go. 400fps and 350fps.
It's good to say that the gun has a pretty easy hop up and the motor did not die on me like the other reviews say. I have played with it 3 months now and used it almost all day every time every weekend.
I'm not going to lie, the gun is plastic in most areas but the quality is very good. I took video with a 11.1v LiPo and slowed down the video for rate of fire. In one second it shot 20 rounds.
I have not upgraded this gun in any way, it's still being used as out of the box. Over all very good gun.
Pros:
-Fast RPS
-Quick Change Spring
-Pretty loud (It's a big gun so... Good)
-4000 rounds!!!w/connector to battery
-easy hop up(came with Alen Key it needs)
-dropped it twice on rocks, still works.
Cons:
-Not full metal (even though, it still has ware on your body)
-Seems like results vary some times.
