Matrix Steel CNC Milled One-Piece MAX Cylinder Unit w/ Integrated Cylinder Head (Type: Version 2)

9 Customer Reviews

"Great cylinder, it didn't fit within my gearbox. However, you can take a Dremel and sand down a couple of it's ring widths and it should fit.

"Good quality ver. 2 one piece stainless steel cylinder. Looks durable. Nice to have a replacement part and upgrade.

"Wonderful purchase. I had no problem installing this part. After some research on similar products, I found that a simple O-ring swap can solve piston head issues described in other reviews. However it was not needed with the Matrix piston head I purchsed.

Pros:

Smooth, polished interior
Anti shock material pre installed
No AOE correction needed after intallation
Perfect drop in fit on King Arms gearbox

Cons:

None!

"Alright so I'm going to try and combine every other review of this unit with my one to clarify some points made by other users. First off I'd like to say that it is in fact true, I had absolutely zero leakage in my G&G CM16 which is exactly why I bought it for my DSG. That being said, yes, I did have to Dremel a bit of material off of the cylinder in order for it to properly fit. Secondly, there is NOT a shock absorber/sorbo pad built into the "cylinder head" portion of the unit which was slightly disappointing. Overall though the unit is great for its designed purpose yet there are a few changes necessary to make it "perfect". Another thing I should quickly mention is that you will definitely want a nozzle with a single, or double, O-ring as the cylinder head "nozzle" seems to be a bit skinner and wouldn't seal with my OEM/Standard nozzles, I ended up using the singular O-Ring nozzle from SHS.

"I'm sure this cylinder unit works just fine for tokyo marui builds, but I purchased with the intention of putting it in my ics cxp mars dmr. Didn't fit. So, now just gotta wait another week to try another cylinder.

"Great concept over all. only thing I would add is a piston head that fits snuggly in the cylinder. My SHS piston head fits inside like a 9mm in a 45 cal hole. it is an easy fix if you have a bore up piston head or a lot of Teflon tape but apart from these small gripes I love that I will never have to worry about my cylinder and cylinder head seals anymore.

"Totally does not fit. Major flaw in design.
by Keith S. on 05/02/2016
"As said with the other review, good idea, bad execution. Mine is unuseable because the nozzle is to large to fit any standard m4 nozzles. They slide very hard and even with good lubercation are to much for the gear box to shift.

Save your money.

"A good idea, but the little lip of metal under the nozzle holder makes it impossible to utilize this part. uless you want to grind off 3mm of metal, its just not worth it.
