"This is a great piece for an indoor setup. The reason is that this will let water in, in the event that you're playing in a wet environment. That being said, its wrong to classify motor grip cap's as heat sinks even though their made of heat conducting material because it isn't making direct contact with the surface of the motor that's producing heat. It's actually making contact with the plastic piece of the motor that is probably what I would call a super insulator. The point of all this information is that if you want good cooling performance from your motor cap, get this. It will let fresh air flow into your motor while you play which in turn will keep it nice and cool. I got this as a replacement for my stock g&g motor cap because the motor started to smoke after the grip felt like it was on fire. now, heat levels are manageable. I may get a more efficient motor to replace my stock motor.
