It does have a 1/4 inch padding in every piece. Will take the sting off for the little ones. I think this was well thought out with the pouch placements. Very easy for a youngster to get going with this.

"I just got this vest today and I tried it out at Buffalo Battleground (indoor airsoft in buffalo,NY). This vest is absolutely AMAZING. The pouches are perfect for M4 mags. It has a (nuts) protector, that is if you want to use it. Everything else on this vest is amazing. The only con is the padding around the neck is a little uncomfortable

"Overall very good vest it is fit for a smaller child be will adjust with the velcro.

"Very good product for the price! This vest is a little on the heavy side of the spectrum but very good protection. Also it is very comfortable and easy to adjust to fit your size.

"Extremely comfortable, adjustable to the maximum and the minimum (I am 130 lbs and 5'10"). Plenty of room to move around, three rifle magazine pouches attached and one pistol magazine pouch. The tan color went perfectly with my ACU digital uniform underneath. The only bad thing about this vest (could just be me) was that by big head wasn't able to fit through the head-hole. It was an easy, cheap fix; I just cut a slit where the neck part was and that allowed room for my head to get in. By the way, the shoulder pads and the neck pads are removable. Lots of velcro to put patches and flags on. Great protection, the vest does what it was built for. It also has a pouch on the back for a hydration pouch. That's all I have to say about this vest. It was worth the $60.
