"I will start this revie w off by warning you that this rifle REQUIRES internal work to make it usable. It is honestly on of the worst performing stock sniper rifles I've ever used. The quality of the internals is fantastic stock, it just needs some work to get them to mesh right.
First, one of the screws that that fix the receiver to the stock is too long. When screwed all of the way in, it presses against the cylinder, making the gun inoperable. All you need to do is find a small washer (I used one from an aeg gearbox) and put it on the head of the screw. This shims the screw up enough to fix the issue.
Second, there is quite a bit of play between Hopup arm and the chamber. This is fixable if you shim your hopup. Otherwise though, it adds a very bad and unpredictable curve to the bb. Once shimmer though, the hopup works very well.
Third, there were some issues with the stock compression. The o-ring on the piston was too small, and the seal between the bucking and barrel want quite perfect. I replaced this o-ring, and then I teflon taped the cylinder head and the bucking and got a 20-30 fps jump.
Fourth, the barrel is a very light aluminum unit. It is nicely polished with good crowning, but it vibrates quite badly. I used tape to make six spacers throughout the barrel. This greatly helped the consistency of my shots.
Finally, the spring guide and piston are meant for a 7 mm spring. This means that you must swap them out to change to a heavier spring. Luckily, this rifle's cylinder set is aps2 compatible.
For the pros, the external construction on this gun is ingredible. It is more lightweight, although more rugged and durable, than the javelin m24. It could take quite a beating. This texture is a little rough, and some might call it uncomfortable, but it is very nice when wearing gloves.
Internally, the spring guide and piston are aliminum, and the piston has a very nice damper - head on it. The hop up is metal, and seem well made with little excess material. The cylinder head is metal, but I do not remember if it is steel or aluminum. The trigger group is a very nice steel unit, and the zero trigger actually works quite nicely.
Overall, with a cleaning and a few mods, this is a very, very effective rifle. Out of the box though, it I'd horribly ineffective. If you enjoy fine-tuning spring rifles, like me, then you will be very satisfied with your purchase. If you want out of the box effectiveness, the get a Well or UTG l96. The are well designed systems and very upgradable, and, while being much less durable, they perform much better than this out of the box.
"Had problems with gun right out of box!! Lots of little problems on top of its not accurate at all past 30 feet!! My sons friend has cheaper gun that will out shoot this one any day of the week, cons are stock assembly doesn't match well to barrel assembly, had to grind a little of stock assembly down for bolt to clear so I could even sick it,top screw goes too deep into barrel and tightens on bolt not allowing it to b cocked ,clip doesn't always feed bbs well causing jamming and then while UN jamming the bbs go down bolt section and complete disassembly has to happen to remove bb before you can shoot it again!! Was really looking forward to this gun I bought it for my sons birthday airsoft war so right out of the box it got painted camo and right into battle , so no returning now!! Would not recommend this to anyone
