King Arms SIG 516 Tactical Patrol Airsoft AEG Rifle

"Love this item. I'm in love with King Arms in general. This is my second AR variant I've purchased from King Arms. I'm pretty satisfied.

+ Some of the best METAL externals you will find. If the part isn't made of beautiful CNC aluminum , it's made of steel.
+ Functioning bolt catch, classy mock bolt carrier.
+ Steel body pins make take down quick and easy. Can even be done in the field.
+ Love the Troy style sights, the AA style front gas block and gas tube.
+ QD sling points EVERYWHERE.
+ Rock solid gears, tappet plate, gear box shell and bearings are all steel.

- Stock is...well...crap. Doesn't live up to King Arms expectations. Remove and destroy this part so no other soul has to experience the sadness that is this piece of low quality ABS.
- Would be nice if this wasn't 420 FPS out of the box. Immediately downgraded this gun to 350 FPS.
- Stock motor is no good. It burnt out after about 20,000 rounds. It's a pretty junky motor anyway. Switch to a high torque when it goes.
- High Capacity magazine is almost as cheap as the stock, at least it feeds nicely.

Note: RIS is dovetailed into the upper receiver. So unfortunately you probably won't be swapping the front end on this gun. On the other hand no alignment issues and the upper rail is perfect monolithic.

Bottom line; this gun is very good, it's very pretty. I'm overall not disappointed. The gun's shortfalls are parts I would've changed anyways. Love it.

trademarks look pretty solid (just wish they would color in the "sig sauer"trademark white.)
put a 11.1v lipo inside this bad boy and your ready to kick butt (and be prepared to be told your gun is loud as hell)
The front and rear sights are pretty good for being stock
dropped it couple of times and it didn't affect the gun at all

cons
by far the worst stock that any company can put on a gun (not exaggerating)(seriously king arms?)
Descent grip (but i would recommend a mapul moe)
with .25 and a fully charged lipo your gonna get 350-360 MAX fps (maybe its just me)
may not be a con but using this in a airsoft skirmish is just unfair for other players lol

conclusion: get this gun- the internals are great as expected coming from king arms. However there are just a few external changes i would make in order to have a more comfortable feel.

"i got this aeg awhile ago (november 2013) and after 6 months of using it monthly i have good opinion on the King Arms Sig 515.
Ok, right off the batt you can notice the quality of the externals, the metal on the upper and lower reciver has amazing quality and the rail system also is made of the same material. the RIS is a free float, monolithic rail. FPS is a solid 400 and the effective range is around 200-230 feet, the hop up is pretty solid as well.

I STRONGLY RECCOMED A NEW STOCK THE ONE INCLUDED IS POOP AND WILL CUT YOUR BATTERIES BUY A NEW ONE ASAP!

"So I'll start by saying my mediocre rating is a result of what I believe to be poor quality control, not applicable to all units but I must say it. The gun came DOA. It wasn't feeding at all. The bucking was just shot, replaced it with G&G green immediately in order for it to work.

Pros:
+ Excellent CNC aluminum and steel externals with very clean Sig Sauer trades
+ Beefy gears and gear box
+ Wonderful flip up iron sights based off Troy sights
+ Shoots about 360-380 out of the box
+ Very unique looking gas block

+- Loud

Cons:
- Stock is absolute trash. Get rid of it as soon as possible.
- Selector switch just slides around instead of clicking into place, it's bad.
