Angel Custom Gearbox Grease Lubricant for Airsoft GBB / AEG Guns (Weight: 200ml)

"I like using this grease in addition to superlube, as insurance. I use the superlube for senstive things like gear teeth, inside the cylinders, and on the piston tracks. I spray the angel custom grease throughout the gearbox as a protective coating. One way of looking at my use of it is as a corrosion inhibitor.

It is also useful when I need to put some grease in the gun, but taking the gearbox apart is not necessary and just spraying it inside will suffice.

I have also used it in other things outside of airsoft, such as a couple of steering/throttle control boxes for some older Mercury outboards that I own. Once again, I use the superlube for the gear teeth, and just spray the angel custom grease throughout.

The grease itself is rather runny at first, but after a minute or two it starts to gel up and become more viscous. The color (green) is a bit bright and it stands out, so if you get some on the outside of your gun you'd probably want to clean it up.

Overall, for the price this stuff is pretty good, but it might not be my first choice for lubricant in sensitive areas.

I think it's probably not a good idea to take apart a gearbox just to grease it. The two obvious reasons not to are, I might never even use the gun enough so it even needs it....and if I ever do have to tear into a gearbox, chances are good it's going to need one or more new parts (parts that may or may not be available, anyway). Besides which, there's no guarantee I'll even be able to get the gearbox back together again.

So spraying in this grease (through the hole in the side, or the motor hole) is probably be a lot better than waiting for the gearbox to grind itself to pieces. I haven't taken apart many gearboxes, but those I have, have been either almost dry or under-greased. So rather than tear into the gearbox, to me this stuff seems a lot better then no grease at all. Last gun I used this on (ASG CZ scorpion) seemed to work a lot better afterwards, and all I had to do was remove the motor mounting screws in the handgrip, disconnect the motor wires and pop out the motor to access the hole in the gearbox... after that, I let her have it with a few seconds of this grease and put it all back together. So far, so good, it's only got about 8000 bb's through it - and if the gun makes it another 11 months without needing warranty work (ASG offers one year warranty) that'll be long enough for me. This grease might help the gearbox, or it might not, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something beneficial for it, and doesn't void the warranty.
