"Converted an M249 Para into a pseudo Mk46. Fits great once you remove the pintle tube. Nice quality all around, no complaints!

"I bought this for my A&K and it works great, worth the price as it is actually better than the MAG version for only half the cost.

"This is meant for the MK46 series. Remember that.
I brought this for an M249 MK2 and for 25 dollars, I managed to get it fit. It doesn't look perfect but functionally, it works perfectly. If you cannot find or afford any of the lower rail systems for the M249 series but don't mind doing custom work, try to get this WHILE it's on sale.

"Dunno what the other users problem was.
Gotta remove the pintical lug thats welded on. Then its a drop in fit.
Converted my older echo 1 saw into a more tactical saw.

"This is an excellent piece of quality made kit . The metal is good and well finished with crisp well machined rails . Fitting mine to my CA Para M249 wasnt , at first, easy or obvious . The simple solution is to bend the small rear lug flat with pliars . The unit then snaps very securely into place . The other option is to knock off the Pintle mount "O" lump . This is also simple , but not necessary. A set of recommendations /instructions would be very welcome . The unit came to me in UK well packed and at a low price . We get smacked by import taxes , but not terribly ! Im very pleased with the deal and service and would certainly consider buying another unit for my A+K Miimi , it fits , I tried it . Dont be daunted by the seemingly fidly fitting ...its really pretty simple and looks excellent and does what its made for . Chris Floyd ; UK .

"I just bought this to install on my Classic Army M249 MKII and it will not fit unless the vehicle mounting lug on the M249 is removed. The rail come with no mounting hardware and no instruction on how to install the rail onto to the gun but the rail is nicely bubble wrapped which protects from shipping. Upon closer inspection, there is two notches inside the rail where you're suppose to pop onto the M249 lower receiver but most M249 will have a vehicle mounting lug in the lower front of the gun thus preventing it from installing the rail. If this piece is removed there will be a small opening where you can insert the front notch of the rail and the rear notch will snap onto the gun. The rail and or the gun might require some modification to be installed. Once installed, the rail will give of your M249 looking like a SPW(Special Purpose Weapon) or MK46 Mod 0.
Pros:
Good quality of metal
A lot of rail space for attachments
Price isn't too expensive as other M249 lower rail on the market
Weight of the rail isn't too heavy
Cons;
No instruction on how to install the rail onto the gun
May require some modification to be install on some M249
battery space is small if M249 is wired to the front

"So far it works very well. It's a creative game to get it on at first but eventually it functions perfectly. The only real downside is that you'll most likely require a PEQ box to hold the battery, as the battery space becomes extremely limited afterwards and you need to remove the barrel in order to access the battery compartment.

"Well finished product but the method used to attach it to the receiver of the gun is half cocked at best. It loosens over time and the clips that hold it there will bend under any stress like the battery pack I have on mine. With a little work it is a great addition though.
